I'm interested in begining to collect them all, but i heard jakks is terrible in distribution with certain figures, and online some figures are kinda expensive thanks to scalpers.
Is it worth my bros? I'm really interested in collecting them all because i always wanted to have sonic figures.
Too bad about some characters like tangle the lemur in canada for being country exclusives.
Also you can talk about any other line or collection if you like, jazzware talk is fine by me.
Videogame figure general i guess? I remembered jakks makes figures for mario too and it used to make figures for crash bandicoot. It is my birthday in like 3 months. My parents said i can get anything that i want and so did my grandparents. If it is too expensive ill have them all add money on the order.
But I am really obsessed with the March Hare from Alice in Wonderland (I have seen it talked about here before.) hope to get my dream bnuuy plush lover made before my birthday... but need help finding a person to make it. asked a lot of people and they didnt answer or said no, i have had some very rude messages in response even when the retards said commissions were open. and i know some people can only make small things or dont know how to do all the pieces but this is what i need, hopefully you know someone or maybe even bought one or something similar already? 
Well, I’m sure you’ve all heard the news that Hasbro has canceled all of its pre-orders in North America. Pretty amazing the biggest toy company in the country doesn’t have a single plan to mitigate crisis.
Especially considering the fact that Hasbro has never shied away from increasing prices in the past, so what’s the deal? Corporations like Hasbro only know how to act under what would be considered “perfect conditions”, they really don’t know how to respond to the whole tariff situation. MBAs have infected corporations all the way to the very top. The same old, tired corporate playbook doesn’t apply here.
So what’s next for Hasbro? I genuinely think we will see the death of Hasbro in our lifetime, maybe not today, but it will happen. I mean they’re using AI for Magic Cards, laying off dozens of employees every other month (I don’t even think they can lay anyone else off without the entire company going under), and they’re focusing on being a video game company now. Remember when they wanted to be a movie studio? Remember how that worked out? Genuinely I’m baffled by some of the decisions Hasbro makes sometimes. Investors are probably just looking to divide the company up at this point. They will go the way of Toys R Us.

I found him at a thrift store maybe a year ago and funnily enough re-found recently while watching the dragons: race to the edge series lol.
wanted to say a thanks to everyone too that were around for those breads, they helped alot while I was going through the initial trauma/grieving phases. happy to report that after some self work and conscious efforts, I have come out the other side of that tunnel and am feeling shinier and more at peace than ever :D I hope you are all keeping well too Every element was 3D printed.
2 types of resins:
- gray resin (this can be any type of resin you want; I used Fast Grey from Siraya Tech, very cheap at 35$ a bottle which is enough to print between 10-20 figures)
- white resin (this needs to be anti-scratch resin; I used Nylon Mecha from Siraya Tech, expensive at 70$ a bottle but it's enough to last for >100 figures)
No wear and looseness on the joints.
47 points of articulation.
Every joint is a ball and socket joint.
Eyes are articulated as well but I have to rethink the faceplate mechanism.
The end goal is to make a program where you can design your own character then send it to the printer. Like a custom model kit which you can make at home (and possibly sell on Etsy or whatever).

I'm on the fence. A cool articulated greek Kratos is something I've been wanting for a while. Genuine action figure question: Why don't they just make the joints out of the same type of plastic as the legs/arms of the figure? I assume the legs and arms are PVC as that's the most common plastic used in figures, why not just make the joints out of PVC too? I doubt PVC is so breakable that it would be an issue for many years and only if they were overused. Since PVC can be either hard or soft, why not just go for a hard PVC for the joints in the case of DCMV which uses harder joints, or soft PVC in the case of MLs since they want gummy joints?
Or is this more of a cost saving thing to avoid QC problems from mold defects right out of the factory?

HELPFUL TIPS:
-Invest in a rotary tool such as a Dremel for sanding/sculpting, especially a flexible extension tip.
-Pin vises for drilling holes can be found at hobby stores like Hobby Lobby and are great for making peg holes.
-For soft, flexible parts get Sugru silicone putty and Oyumaru
-Hardware epoxy putties such as Waterweld, KwikWood, and PlasticWeld are similar to Milliput, Greenstuff, and Apoxie, can be cheaper some times, and can be found at local hardware stores such as Lowes, Ace, and Home Depot.
-Bootleg figures make great custom-fodder, especially if the legit figures are pricey.
-Body-chan/kun, Figma Archetype He/She, and Sozai-chan/kun are great base bodies for import-style human characters.

Mezco insists on using FedEx and this past month alone I’ve gotten two figures from them. Two Saturdays ago, I stayed home to make sure I would be able to sign for the package, and “Eduardo” decides that he doesn’t want to deliver my package and says “he attempted delivery” but couldn’t get a signature. That next Monday, figure gets delivered with no problems. Fast forward to today, and the same “Eduardo” and the same shit happens again today. The worst part is he attaches a picture of somewhere in my neighborhood. What the fuck? I’ve never had any issues with any other service, but FedEx has always given me problems.
I’ve genuinely rarely had issues with UPS or USPS, especially not this level of laziness. I am no heretic edition

There was Harry Potter suprisingly. Did Star Wars really tank that hard? I do not care if its tarriffs, inflation or hasbros greed. Domestic figures have broken the 25$ price barrier. I started as a completionist, and am ending at 1 or 2 hasbro figures a year. Now I can't even buy Trannyformers that they are 28$. at that point, just buy 3P.
Give me SHF. I will miss out on classic characters for Nu Anime slop any day. Just bought all the Demon slayer figuarts and am so excited its not another spiderman, and I get to watch an anime too.
If you are going to charge premium prices, you need a premium product. The worst part is now even the kids toys are premium product with current prices.

I remember I could never get the red dragon, my mom spent ages trying to find it.
Regardless, almost every millennial who had this in their youth enjoyed it greatly and I think things like this are incredibly helpful for a child's developing imagination. Someone else will post the copy pasta next I'm sure One day I got a review of one of these figures, and coincidentally some time later, I got a listing selling 2 brand new ones for very cheap, while looking for something completely different.
I still wouldn't buy them, as they are trash. I just felt tempted by the nostalgia of having a figure from that era in that condition. I only like the accessories and the dioramas. But let's be honest, the accessories probably wouldn't be compatible with your other 1/12 6-inch figures, as they are probably oversized to fit their disproportionately big hands.
Also, isn't everything surrounding them just weird? The fact that they made a toy line for a game that wasn't even that big to begin with. They aren't rare, yet there isn't any footage of them. Look at merch for other retro games such as Rayman, its Happy Meal toys are ridiculously expensive. Couldn't find much about their manufacturer either. Did they exist just to make toys for this game? Found this Gem Mint God Of War: Chains Of Olympus Staff Press Kit 15 years on. It's a NECA figure though...
Storage finds thread. Can we talk about them? I know this place kind of hates them, but there are some great-looking Funko Pops, and their Bitty Pops are awesome. They're starting to make playsets and other items—buildings, a Bitty city, and vehicles. It really feels like a successor to things like Micro Machines. I really wanna fucking buy this. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex and it would be retarded to buy it.
But I'm this fucking close. What's this thing on the left of the picture? Why do other toys exist when you can just buy this thing that one-shots every child? Thought I needed a gift to myself for scoring 13 certificates at college, so I bought myself this Beyblade. It's called Evil Befall UW145EWD. It's got these sharp wings on the bottom and a performance tip that has a wide defense shape with a freely spinning spike in the middle.
Any tips on using this? It's brand new and in perfect condition, straight from Japan.

How does Hasbro decide to essentially make the first 6 inch Indy line (yes there was the figma but it was trash) and manage to fuck it up? Indiana Jones is a beloved franchise, full of interesting characters to choose from. What is Indy known for? Punching nazis. Guess what, no Nazis for him to punch outside of Toht and arguably Donovan. Well.. how about the thuggees from Temple of Doom? They did make ToD Indy right? NOPE, no thuggees, no Mola Ram, not even Willie Scott. What’s even the point of the Temple of Doom line when it’s just 3 variations of Indy and Short Round? All they can do is stand around. Picrel is concept art I found on Reddit and it seems like they could make a better line than Hasbro did. Half the line is just dudes in suits and the other half is Indy. Some of those are even Indy in suits. Where are all the bad guys for Indy to fight? Where is the fun in this line? Forget the articulation. Is it so difficult to reproduce such a look and proportion? 
There's a lot of confusion about tariffs like who pays them and the effect on the economy. I'm here to set the record straight. The single most important part of this whole ordeal is to understand THE CONSUMER DOES NOT PAY THE TARIFF. Let me say it again, "We, the consumer, the buyer, do not pay the government (ours) the tariff fee."
With that out of the way, what is a tariff and who pays it? In short, a tariff is a fee paid to the receiving nation's (buyers) government paid by either the importer (BBTS) or the exporter (Bing Chang Toys). Who pays the fee? (let's say 20% tariff) It depends on the contract.
Bing Chang toys may go, "Wow look at all those Americans buying figures! We need to get in on that market!" and they'd sign a contract to pay Customs (our government) a 20% tariff fee in order to sell their product to us. This is the optimal outcome the current administration is looking for. The Selling Country of origin pays the tariffs for the privilege of selling their goods to our nation.
Alternately BBTS could go, "Wow that's a cool toy line! I wish we could sell that line to our customers!" and sign a contract where they would pay Customs the 20% fee to import those figures and offer them to us. BBTS would absorb some of the tariff and they would raise the price a bit, passing some of the tariff fee on to the end consumer, us. This is not optimal as China isn't paying anything to our govt, BBTS is.
Now, what if USA company Average Joe Furniture wants to sell a chair to someone in China? All he has to do is pay China their 20% tariff fee, or find a Chinese buyer willing to pay the fee and import his chairs right? No, because China imposes a 200% tariff fee. Joe can't afford to pay that and no Chinese seller will absorb the fee. So the Chinese buyers will just have sit on Chinese chairs. Made in China, sold to China. how easy or difficult is it to make your own toys? what are the cheaper and more expensive options?
