No. This isn't like 05scape or /v/scape. 2004scape is a full-on reconstruction. The head dev has created a Runescript compiler, and all content is coded in it. It's an open-source project specifically aimed at reconstructing lost versions of Runescape.
There is a custom-coded javascript client, so you can play from the browser. A recoded Java client is in the works. Haxball is a top-down 2D football game that's played entirely in your web browser.

Welcome to /vm/abinogi. Mabinogi is a fun, once popular little old school Korean MMO from 2004 based around Celtic mythology with many different features. Your character can age, rebirth, eat food and gain weight, play and custom make music, and so much more. You can be anything and do anything all at once with no downsides. From non-combat related skills like cooking, tailoring, blacksmithing, trading goods in a commerce, carpentry, etc. to different styles of combat like melee, magic, ninja, archery, puppetry, etc. all on 1 character.
Although graphics and gameplay is still a bit dated, even after 14 years the game is still rich in content such as fashion contests, cooking contest, jousting, playing in or viewing large concerts, training pets, and so on and continues to be Nexon's most generous game.

This is a /vm/ server for my own personal fork of Adventurers of Akalabeth by Xork, which is a fork of Ruins & Riches (originally known as Odyssey) by Djeryv. The server has been running since March and has been enjoyed by several anons. This is far from a typical UO server because over the course of a decade Djeryv modified the game into an old school sandbox adventure experience designed for solo or small party play. It focuses heavily on exploration with new world maps filled with towns and dungeons, requiring players to find clues to navigate between worlds. The game lacks a central storyline, instead offering random quests and contracts from town quest boards, with hints provided by reading NPC dialogue. There is no wiki and information is much harder to come by than modern gamers are used to. Skills have been rebalanced for better utility, and crafters can open shops and receive contracts if they acquire a house. Resurrecting without paying a tribute reduces skill points, and dungeons are filled with brutal traps and dangerous portals. There's a lot of funny builds you can try out, depending on your character origin you can also get higher skill caps to expand possibilities.

Here's my faggot blog about servers and the people who run them.
My dad was really into Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, and servers on the game are dropping like flies. after his death, all of his friends were left behind to hang out on their own servers, but like i said, they're dying out. so, I opened a new one. they all used to play on a set of servers called 'Loki's School of Combat', which seem to be gone. So, I named mine after dad, and this server, to act as a revival. I called it 'Ernie's School of Combat' which shortens to ESC. that's important later.
The project was a success. Dad's friends have a stable place to play, i'm constantly monitoring it to ensure any bugs are handled because i'm a neet with two monitors. things went so well, that i decided to open up a second server on my, favorite game. Team Fortress 2.
aaand faggots ruined it. give a mouse a cookie situation. I have no idea what to do, asshats liberal players are demanding more and more censorship and shitty plugins. Should i refuse and remove everything, or just start ignoring them?
Most of them, are troons giving me free advice from another group of servers called Vault F4. they have it set in their heads my server is named after theirs because it's shortened to ESC. I really do not do well talking to people and i'm kinda sick of dealing with them. i started this server on the philosophy that anyone can play here, but they're actively driving the other players away with their nonstop whining about what they say in chat. >What is /mmog/?

Listening to classical pieces while high on weed also helps.

How do I get money?
Unlike other servers that have a static economy, we use a dynamic one centered on trade. Making money is as simple as mining ores and selling them for currency.
What type of economy does this server have?
This server is going for an economy focused on player trading.
This means you mostly do trading via player shops or by selling to the server with simulated stocks.
How do I make a town? How can I protect my stuff?
To protect your buildings/chests you must create a town.
To create a town you need to have 250₪, and then type:

We have always had high ratio of first-time players on previous Ragna/v/s, more experienced players will help you figure out your way. There are resets available, meaning no permanent mistakes.

The first Ragna/v/ was 99% vanilla with almost no changes, the second was more of the same but with global and individual achievements. This time around, we're trying some extensive customization, in order to improve weaker builds and classes, particularly extended jobs such as Ninja, Gunslinger and Soul Linker. It actually sucks this gamemode is mostly dead compared to 6v6, only 1-3 full to 48 players servers. I can't be paid to play another monotonous round of team deathmatch or domination. Yes of course Ground War is flawed with some suck ass maps, campers, being a glorified version of large scale domination and nowhere near as comprehensive as Battlefield conquest/Delta Force HO Warfare. But man I love it and dread the idea that MWIII might show the last legs of the gamemode. 
Space Station 13 is a round-based roleplaying game, developed using BYOND engine around February, 2003.
Players are given a list of ~40 different jobs aboard a space station, each with their own access and responsibilities. For example, Engineers maintain the power grid and power while Scientists create (peaceful) bombs, research technology, construct mechs and cultivate alien life. Each round has a particular gamemode, the most frequent being Traitor, where one or more crew members are assigned with illegal objectives they must complete for the Syndicate against the station.

What is DSOAL-GW1?
>When GW was released in 2005, the audio component of Microsoft’s DirectX API was something called DirectSound. DirectSound had a 3D audio component called DirectSound3D, or DS3D, that could pan and amplify/attenuate sound sources based on their position relative to the camera in the game’s 3D world. PC’s with a high-end Creative sound card also had access to EAX, an extension to DS3D with a suite of hardware DSP effects for occlusion, obstruction, reverb, echo, etc. Like most games of its era, GW’s audio system was designed around DirectSound and DS3D, and owners of high-end PCs could get the “definitive” audio experience with EAX.

As stated in the most recent letter from the chairman, both the 3.24.3 and 4.0_PREVIEW LIVE builds will run concurrently, with 3.24.3 acting as a fallback in the event 4.0_PREVIEW becomes too unstable to play while CIG are on holidays. Only progress gained in the 4.0_PREVIEW channel will carry over to future patches.

Yes I know its a third person shooter primarily, but still not an excuse when MWII made a third person mode just to be an LTM and renders the gun too.

Every MMO is built to "house" several thousand players at a minimum. This requires money, even a small amount, usually covered by subscriptions or cash items.
Private servers are run often by donation; but how get enough people to make it properly fun?
I never see private server MMOS last 4 months on average before the host decides to stop playing. These games require companies to keep the thing going if the population drops, even temporarily. I have seen this myself with aion in 2010; the population was almost unplayable until 3.0 and a free model and then it exploded to where they almost opened a new server.
How do private servers in MMORPG games survive? And why do people spend the time and money to create them?
