Honestly they should sell the rights to someone else and let them take over at full speed. The lack of any new content is probably what's thrown the quality of thread in the trash. The only way I can talk about it is with people who have no experience with the series because the ones that do have been so starved for content they don't care about it, only the memes. I actually like this anime and don't want them to redo it because it could mess up my favorite characters, but I just want more content. Other animes can put out entire 2 new seasons in the time it takes them to put out a single new episode of GuP. The premise of the show is popular. Cute girls that get to do mock tank battles. Very cool, very nice idea, everyone likes it. But the quality of online discussion has dropped into the gutter and I think it's largely because it has episodes coming out at the rate of continental drift.
Maybe putting out new seasons with new characters or something might help. The established leaders of the teams are supposed to graduate so let the second-in-commands take over and change the way the teams fight in combat or something.

It absolutely is. I'd advise to keep out of /gup/ unless the quality improves, nothing of value is there most of the time.
