Everything is an argument, they have no soft skills. If you are trying to collaborate on a project and request something from them, there is an immediate angry defensiveness as if you're picking on them. Ironically, they also take pride in picking on new people by treating them like shit and talking down to them. CS/SWdev graduates are also terrible at math, and it pained them to ask me for help with it. Had to spend way too much time reassuring them with stuff like "Oh yeah well I'm not good at software at all, that's what I'm here for to help you guys you know!". But it's just never enough, and I'd be kept afterwards so they could rant about things they can do better.
Pretty much all of them are unpleasant to look at, and it could easily be changed if they just got a haircut or dressed in a nicer way. It's like they all followed a guidebook on how to look as retarded as possible. Everything had to be over teams meetings even if we were all in the same office or across from each other, just a complete avoidance or any physical or in person collaboration, as they were very shy in person as opposed to how aggressive they were on chats. If I wanted something done I had to walk to their desk, where they looked as if I was muting them and gave me whatever I asked for. The few women that I did work with always tagged along with either myself or another older boomer coworker, as everyone else just HATED women and treated them either way worse than anyone else, or were giga-simps creeps to the point I had to leave the area from cringing so hard.
I now work in a cookie cutter basic bitch insurance company and it's great. Employee resource groups are fun, people make jokes, I can relate to other parents and attend family friendly events, it's like I'm actually a living person.
