no, no, no. trust me. this shit belongs in the past. i do agree with the general sentiment of your post that we've gone way too into 'form over function' lately. but what you posted is in no fucking way functional. half that shit doesn't need a fucking button, and what does need a button needs a bigger one with a label so i don't have to guess what the fuck

what we need are interfaces that are very minimal in the amount of buttons you can click, with the most used buttons being the most obvious. the most common/core functionality that is shared with all apps should be hotkeys that everyone and their dog knows. nigger even my grandma uses Ctrl+S to save these days, i don't need a standalone save button i mean jesus fucking christ i might as well write a fucking love letter to the computer while i'm at it.
