Because it enables this kind of "fire and forget" approach to software where 4 years down the line nobody can maintain shit because it's a stack of management stacks on top of legacy software nobody had to maintain because it just kinda works until it doesn't.

Docker is indispensable for what I do, but that doesn't mean I don't think it's a wasteful technology that is more of a bandaid to a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place, rather than something we want to have. At least docker is a technology that is pretty simple at its core.

And on top of that, Kubernetes is the kind of shit that will be replaced in 5-10 years, and then everyone will have to deal with legacy kubershit along with whatever cool new toy comes in next. Can't wait for my systems & hosting department to want to migrate everything to the next best thing so they break my fucking pipelines for 6 months straight again, even though everything was already working PERFECTLY well before.
