It's all about convenience. Yes I could keep track of airing schedules, download media manually, move it to the correct folder and refresh my Plex library. It's how I used to do it with anime in the mid 2000's, minus Plex of course. But I could also spend 15 minutes setting up all the arr stuff and automate the entire process.

I also find it useful to allow tech illiterates to pirate with relative safety. As hard as I tried to educate my family, they need a search bar and a big button that says DOWNLOAD. It's that, having to download everything for them, or rid their devices from various forms of malware other week.

So in short, I'm just lazy in multiple ways and that's why I use it.
