The converters are tedious, who the fuck uses a bulky 6.35mm plug normally? I had to go through a couple before I found one with good grip on both my headphones and my DAC.

Before my DAC, I just used a 3.5mm extension that sat on my desk. Headphone cables generally aren't long enough to reach, and if you want to change headphones it's a pain in the ass otherwise.

I don't use mine. I've been using mouse volume control for over a decade, and I'll never go back. My current mouse has 2 scroll surfaces, so I just use one of those for instant volume adjustment without moving my hands. Before that I had a media keyboard with a wheel built into the palm rest, which also worked fine.
