I found the concept of Earth Pony Twilight from those leaks very intriguing. I guess I wouldn't want to to actually retcon Twilight specifically, but I love the concept of a character who is extremely magically gifted, but they're an Earth Pony. I wish Starswirl was revealed to be an Earth Pony with a big magic staff, it'd be cool to have the most legendary magic-user in Equestria to be an Earth Pony./shy/ - Fluttershy ThreadScared Edition.

I lurk on this board a lot and often I see the sentiment of "this particular artist/creator is a bad person so stop posting them", or "this artist isn't in the correct political tribe so they deserve to die", or any other variant on "they don't deserve the following they have".
Having met a lot of artists on Discord and at cons, I get this sentiment, but I also don't get it. I've had expectations shattered. I've had artists I didn't really enjoy turn out to be super nice and artists I've loved the work of turn out to be pretentious faggots. But really, the vast majority of artists or creators in this fandom are just... guys. They're nobody special. They're not any better or worse than the average person. They just so happen to be "good" at one or two particular things. Some might be a little less PC or a little more sensitive than what some would want, but overall they're every bit as retarded or as smart as the average person. The only difference is they happen to write/draw/edit/record stuff that a large enough number of people happen to like.
I've come to find this idea of a person "not deserving" a following because of some personal failing really stupid. Everyone has personal failings. And almost always the "failing" is some political bullshit that doesn't matter. It's like people have lost sight of the art itself and get lost in personalities. The way I see it, if someone makes stuff that people like to see, then they "deserve" their following, because they got that following on the basis of what they made. I can't bring myself to care about the rest. The artist could be a literal terrorist for all I care. Is it really too much to just enjoy mare art for what it is and not get lost in the bullshit? I feel most people here get that, and it's just a very loud minority that don't.

The Pony Preservation Project is a collaborative effort by /mlp/ to build and curate pony datasets for as many applications in AI as possible.
Technology has progressed such that a trained neural network can generate convincing voice clips, drawings and text for any person or character using existing audio recordings, artwork and fanfics as a reference. As you can surely imagine, AI pony voices, drawings and text have endless applications for pony content creation.
AI is incredibly versatile, basically anything that can be boiled down to a simple dataset can be used for training to create more of it. AI-generated images, fanfics, wAIfu chatbots and even animation are possible, and are being worked on here.
Any anon is free to join, and there are many active tasks that would suit any level of technical expertise. If you’re interested in helping out, take a look at the quick start guide linked below and ask in the thread for any further detail you need.

This entire book makes me question why Applejack would even consider the rest of the mane 6 friends. The whole thing is one long conga line of all her friends refusing to listen to her, distracting her, fucking up her trees, sabotaging her work, and at the end of it all the book just says “Actually they’re totally AMAZING friends and Applejack is just being too hard on them, lol.”

All this book has done now is convince me that none of the mane 6 barring Applejack and Twilight are actually good friends. Fuck these ponies, they’re terrible people to be friend with. I don’t even know what the moral is supposed to be here. Granny Smith gives Applejack the book for the explicit purpose of having an avenue of venting her frustrations so she doesn’t have to bottle them up, and then the narrative acts treats her like she’s a dick for doing exactly that. Poor fucking Applejack dude, she deserves a better friend group.
