https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNK2QYO6FyM Metal was always a truly more representative genre of the working class than Punk ever was. I'm a zoomer and I really am not that into music and I never really actively listened to music until just a few years ago. I don't know a lot of well known basic bitch bands, like when people around me talk about music I don't know wtf they are talking about half the time. Like is it normal to just know nothing at all about pop music, but to still be OBSESSED with this random ass arthoe band from ages ago that is completely obscure to anyone in my age group? I feel like such an alien for exclusively listening to this shit while I barely even know who Michael Jackson is (yeah I know they really aren't THAT obscure but keep in mind I am a zoomer and I have literally never ever in my life heard anyone even mention the band) He wants to be Frank Ocean so bad yebruhs, did we get too cocky? Why did this drop down so hard on the RYM charts? >Watch video of Keith Richards talking about the blues
>Talking about John Lee Hooker always having a plywood board to stamp his foot on in the studio that they'd mic up
>Every old performer used to stamp their foot all the time
>No one does it anymore
Explain? YOU LISTEN TO «BLACKPINK»; I LISTEN TO «ATARASHII GAKKO».
WE ARE NOT THE SAME. walk in that bitch like, "how the hell y'all doing? how y'all feeling today?" Is there any good progressive metal out there or is it all soulless wank like Dream Theater?

>I'm just laughin', could've been a pimp the way I move my lips
>I be speedin' could've been a driver the way I push the whip (vroom-vroom)
could've been, is kind of a hopeless statement. he wasnt afforded the opportunity to be who he wanted to be.
in one of his songs he says there were bullets flying when he was just a kid and he had to stay away from the windows.
imagine never looking outside except for potential danger?
How are you supposed to do anything professional or even productive when you are surrounded by physically aggressive people?
If someone stands close to you to tell you about their reading project, you're gonna probably punch them in the face, because if you let a thug that close they're gonna bully the fuck out of you, and then take your shit later.
Personally I think its both a blessing and a curse, because at least he had physical power.

A thread for extreme, abrasive, technical, progressive, or experimental music under the rock umbrella. This means metal, hardcore, experimental rock, noise rock, and others. Music that is mainstream, "alternative", novelty-driven, "proggy" but not progressive, or not rock music in any sense, is discouraged.

A lot of people are pretty intimidated when they see us metalheads but what you might not have known is that... we're all actually super wholesome! Metalheads are like one big family and we look out after each other! We're not looking for trouble and really, we're just trying to have fun and build a community that everyone can feel a part of! So when you see us banging our heads (that's our form of dancing, it's called "headbanging") and "moshing" (there are a lot of rules so that everyone is safe), don't think that we're dangerous.
You might be surprised to hear this but outside of the often very dark music we listen to (System of a Down, Sabaton, etc.) a lot of us are normal people just like you! We go to work and love our children just like everyone else! We participate in democracy and love to vote too! And yeah, there are some people in the metal community who think anything that isn't metal isn't good music but those are fortunately in the minority. Yeah, I'm talking about "those guys". No one likes "those guys". Don't be "that guy", guys. True metal heads are open to any and all music. You know, when I'm not busy listening to SLAYERRR!!!, I sometimes even like to put on some good ol' pop while doing housework! [cut away to two men with long hair headbanging to Taylor Swift - Shake it Off]
"But how can I become one of you guys???" you might ask. Well, the answer is simple, my friend. You want to be a metalhead? Well, congratulations, you now ARE a metalhead! There are no prerequisites for joining us! So throw those horns and let the power of the RIFF take you away, mwuhahaha!! *looks at the ceiling, makes an exaggerated face and slowly raises hand while doing the devil's horn*
See you at Wacken. \m/ >my favorite album of all time is Individual Thought Patterns by Death
What type of person do you imagine? Let's face it. The last great synth. >I get along without you very well

>Ride it, my pony
>My saddle's waitin'
>Come and jump on it
Is there a deeper meaning here? Zoomers will NEVER get to experience what Deftones was like before they started sounding like they are on autopilot. Is it okay for middle aged women to use shouts and screamed vocals? raindrops keep falling on my head
but that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red Bringing back the hardcore/metalcore thread in light of Hellfest just happening.

Paulie's 1970 DIY sounded homemade--its unfinished musings intimated an appealingly modest freedom. This one was recorded on a sixteen-track with an engineer in attendance. The instrumentals are doodles, the songs demos by a man who scores the occasional hit only to prove he's a genius. Which he isn't. C Now that a couple days have passed, can we admit that this was kinda cringe? WHAT'S A BOY

https://youtu.be/qjEZz5_G1kI?si=JC0zuvpyw268LnRp What's your favorite Modest Mouse lyric? Interesting guy. Voice like sandpaper. Notorious prick. Fun to live through vicariously but his music is also incredibly depressing which is difficult for a Chad to pull off I think.
Is he /mu/ approved? A. Get rid of anxiety from doechii
B. Get rid of Taylor swift music
C. Get rid of all I want for Christmas is you
D. Get rid of all Chinese Democracy is the most underated album ever. It features Axl Rose's best vocal performances and the lyrics are sublime.
The songs on here are absolutely excellent too. I mean, Shackler's Revenge, Better, Madagascar, Prostitute, N' every other bloody song in here is great.
While it can be debated whether this is actually a Guns N' Roses album, as it only has one original member, it still goes hard as hell.
The production hell of the album is honestly pretty funny, but I'd wait it all through again for another masterpiece like this.
If you like Buckethead and GN'R (more accurately, Axl Rose) you have to listen to this. Why couldn't they just get along? i tried showing Van Halen to some zoomer kids at a local park...they hated it.. one of even starting rocking and shaking... why can't zoomers cope with chad rock? Camber Sands Sunday [2009] Exuma [Mercury, 1970]

His shows are all full of "former Gifted Child" reddit-adjacent FREAKS too who love wanking him and themselves off. Lessons are about 300 a month and I'm not spending 3 grand a year on lessons. I'm mid 20s wanna be in a band. Will a book like this get me off the ground? Bet you ain't and bet you his uncle is a Universal executive as opposed to the original growing up in a Texas trailer park. This album is a bit forgotten but shouldn't be. Better than OK Computer Maybe the real danger zone was all the friends we made along the way.
