>Objectives and Themes
The European Political Community focuses on dialogue and cooperation among the continent's leaders to address issues of common interest, without replacing any existing structure, organization, or process. Instead, it aims to create a forum where European nations can find additional space for cooperation on the continent's most pressing issues. To date, the European Political Community has met five times: in the Czech Republic, Moldova, Spain, the United Kingdom, and most recently in Hungary.

Within the theme of European security, there is rightly the issue of support for Ukraine, with eyes and ears turned to Istanbul, where elements regarding the diplomatic table are expected. Secondly, discussions will focus on European defense, safeguarding democracy, and the preparation and response capabilities to various threats. On this point, the Italian position, expressed by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Antalya, is that it would be fair to extend industrial participation to countries that are part of an alliance of democracies. "The French have a very closed vision of Europe, closed to French industry. We have a broader vision of collaboration with other NATO countries, such as the USA, Great Britain, and Turkey."

Additionally, there will be a dialogue on improving the continent's competitiveness through investments, innovation, and strengthening resilience in various sectors. Challenges related to mobility will also be addressed, including migration, labor movement, and youth mobility.

During the Summit, the Core-group Moldova will meet, a restricted format dedicated to broad support for the nation's security. It includes Italy, France, Germany, Poland, USA, and UK. This is the third meeting at the level of Heads of State and Government. Italy participated in the last meeting in Budapest on November 7 as part of the EPC.
