Are there any good weapon paper model makers that would either have a plan already made, links to some, or any help to making one?
I've been trying to find one for Quite A While now and have been attemptin to create One by first modeling it out etc. but hit a "bit" of a setback with my computer frying up completely during a thunderstorm.
Looking Now for the classic type of shotgun. Attempting to acquire the level of detail and possible function that are akin to the "Paper Manufacturing" brands level of quality. Ey /po/, one of the new Pokemon from Pokemon Sun and Moon version is Kartana. It looks like this. Can you make it in real life with origami, and if so, how?

Do you guys only fold paper cranes and glue Warhammer figures? I've never seen a bookbinding thread here.
Printed and bound House of Leaves. Split it into 2 volumes because I was afraid to work with so many pages at once. Covered with paper-backed vinyl (black) and linen fabric (red), which will probably collect a ton of dust pretty soon.
Couldn't decide how to put the titles on. Should have made a debossed rectangle with a paper label glued inside. But I hoped that hot ink transfer would work. So I made the covers first, then printed the title on ink transfer paper, and found out that pressing a hot iron to the cloth-covered board warps the board due to heat expansion. Tried on small swatches first (picrel). This method won't work.
As I understand it, my current options to put the title are limited to

>screening (sponging the ink through a trafaret)
>just print a paper label and glue it on top

I only want to make a mask with round shapes but every tutorial I found uses straight strokes for the template and I want to know if I can find more information of how to do it the other way i did this like a gift, "When I finished this model, I thought I would feel satisfaction, but I felt nothing, hahaha. I make 6 models for 6 people every year and give them as gifts." What are cereal boxes made of? I know they're comprised of grayboard/chipboard but what do they print on? Is that white part part of the chipboard? Why does nobody sell this?
This is the same as VHS box sleeves, NES, SNES, N64 boxes. Yet nobody seems to actually know how they're made. I want to make a papercraft mask for Halloween, I was thinking maybe a goat or a cow.

I’m making a papercraft where I want to paint part of it gold for some extra pop, but I want neat and clean lines. I’ve seen a lot of artists use washi tape to do this in their art and I want something similar, but I have inkjet prints and don’t want any of the ink to lift up. Any tape recommendations? Or possibly other techniques? I’ve done some googling but I don’t wanna take my chances with buying a ton of tape just to test it. I've looked everywhere and can't find anything the artist is called Ingrid Siliakus she does some cool stuff but wondering if she had any templates or does she keep this stuff secret? Today I've found out about the latest tanteidan issue. It has steps for the mosquito on the cover, I would love to fold it. A digital release is not available and single issues can't be purchased; to get the magazine I would need to buy a yearly subscription. Moreover shipments from Japan can take up to three months in my experience. If anyone has a copy I would gladly pay for a scan with Paypal, thank you. When I was 10 yo, I got an amazing origami book where I learned about origami "purism" philosophy - always using only one square sheet of paper, no cuts and no glue. What do you think about those self-imposed limitations for aesthetic reasons? The lack of a good /po/+/ck/ thread is absurd...

Thank you very much for the help and happy new year! I made this little puzzle box called a soma cube for my girlfriend for Christmas. I was going to make a little wooden box to put it in, wood burn something on it, and then wrap the box up for Christmas with a few other things I have since returned since, well, she broke up with me. I haven't made the wooden box yet, and I'm kind of lost on whether I should finish it up for the sake of completion or if I should just make a paper box and wrap it up just to sit on a shelf, maybe for someone else or the next girlfriend, or just to sit as a trinket. What kind of paper plane is this? I've made several custom paperized papertoys, based on upcoming Oppenheimer film.

Hey I know the overlap between people who like paper modeling stuff and people who like home designs is small, but does anyone else do something similar to this? Design a little home layout in MS paint, print it out, cut it out, and tape/glue it together? It's nice to be able to better visualize home designs than just in my head and it helps me avoid using software. I've made a few of these and just finished this one about ten minutes ago. Hello! I make pepakura for money. Models are usually constructed only once. My pieces are not so much like what we can find online; they tend to be VERY large and intricate, akin to a vg model. This is context for what my advice applies to. If you do it as an easy hobby or stick with truly low poly/tiny part models, a lot won't apply. No pic related just inspo, this is advice dump not my art thread. If you have any questions, why X, tell me more about Z, I am happy to oblige. I rarely use 4chan and wrote this on a whim, sorry if no reply. If you are interested in reaching for the stars with pepakura, here are my personal trade secrets.
MATERIALS/TOOLS
---Do not score the fold lines by hand. If you have a silhouette cameo, go ahead. To fold by hand purchase a glass scraper. I have two, one with a small 1.5 inch blade and another that is 4 inches. Dull the blade. I align the fold line across my fingers, press down with the blade.
---Stop using an xacto knife. Get a snap blade utility knife. I HIGHLY recommend OLFA, XA-1 design.
---Titebond II Premium wood glue. It doesn't cure instantly but that's good, you don't want that. You want to be able to move the tab around into the perfect position before it starts curing. You have a 10 second window to make sure it's in position before it starts curing, then another 10 seconds till you can let go & any tension in the structure won't pull the tab out of place.
---Tiny squeezable craft bottles for glue. One of the bottles I added thicker medical syringe tube. It is long, which is good for when I have to apply glue to a tab which is difficult to access The other bottle has a 1 inch long coffee straw, I use that for when I need a lot of glue then spread it around. When a tab is huge I just open a jar of glue and use a brush to paint it on.
---Dental tools.
---Little neodymium magnets. I rarely use them, usually to hold a tab in place after the glue has already cured to the point that I can let go. Thank you all for your contributions! Recently got back into Quake with the release of Quake II remastered, and came across some photos of this model online-I thought I used to have a copy of it, but can't find it-I can only find the similar Ninjatoes version.
Does anyone have a copy of this model they could scan and preserve for the future? It is pretty old; from 1997! I've been searching for it for awhile with no luck. Is it possible to create a highly detailed 1:64 papercraft car? Is there a term for this type of 3D models? I love this one, I'm looking for more.

Multi-pattern images are really cool... allowing for several squares each with individual patterns.
Any good pattern that'll work for several squares with the same/similar patterns.

I created the winged scorpio in prehistoric age the time life was vivid. It came from nothing. Why am I keep getting stuck on step 51 of Brian Chan's Wolf spider? Diagrams seems so simple but after years of folding I still didn't figure it out.
Always the same. Inside layers are blocking 4 thicker flaps to be reverse folded as picture on the next step suggests. So without tearing the paper, or in best case smashing it, all legs could not be folded side by side. On the other hand, there are pictures of finished model all over the internet. So what am I doing wrong? I compared CP with my creasing lines and they all match.
Could someone find the time to help me stop this step 51 nightmare? I will post the diagrams if anyone wants to try it.
P.S. Except unresolvable step 51, steps 22 and 23 are also mysterious. It says 'repeat behind' when there is nothing on the other side to be done symmetrically. ITT: mathematical objects in paper.

After the last year or so of getting my gf flowers she's been vocal about the fact that she loves them but hates that they wilt and die. I intend to solve that with handmade origami flowers, along with a proposal to hopefully have something beautiful to last for a long time that can be an epic visual memory like a bouquet of origami flowers. So the question I had to you pros is, what do you recommend for someone with my skill level? I'm very hands-on and determined, willing to spend a lot of time to make them just right.

I have new newest 5.0.18 version of Pepakura Designer. When I try the “add outline padding” version for the print-out, the color is fucked. Fist of all, why the hell are the flaps a greyish color? It looks horrid. And because of that greyish color of the flaps, when I add color in the flaps as well, it doesn’t show me the right color, but a blurred-out color that is not ok to print at all.
I have always used Desinger 4 and wanted to upgrade to 5 now. And in 4 the outline padding color works just fine. The “upgraded” version has this shit now. Am I missing an option in the options menu? Because I did try every option out there, clicking and unclicking, seeing if there was something in the colors setting, but I haven’t found anything.
No colored flaps is NOT an option. Should not be for anybody, because you can make much smoother papercrafts with a 0,5mm margin of error and you don’t need to color-out the white specks if you don’t glue it on precisely. This is not acceptable. And should not be for Tamasoft making this fucked-up 5 designer “option” you can’t get rid of?
