This is pure BS. Val was an upper midcard guy by 1999. He was an IC champ. He had main event matches against Foley and Rock on Raw and Smackdown. Val was over both as a face and a heel. He was a big part of the RTC faction too. Yes Val had fallen way down the card by around 2003, but it's flat out wrong to act like he was just some low card nobody.

Val Venis is 6'3" and 244 lbs. And he was only 39 years old when he went to TNA. Christopher Daniels is 5'11" and 200 lbs soaking wet. And believe it or not, Daniels is 1 year OLDER than Val.

So yes, it was believable that Val could come in and beat Daniels. Daniels wasn't even hurt by it and Val was gone by the end of the year. It wasn't a squash either. They had a 10 minute match. Get the fuck over it.
