She clears away the budding tears and stops trembling as much. It seems that this attempt was successful enough.
“Sorry…” she muttered. “You’re weird. Usually males just kill each other and take the loser’s things.” The feeling that ‘things’ in that sentence refers to women annoys your modern sensibilities, even if you’re the kind of guy to call women foids when nobody is looking.
Remu puts her bucket facing down and takes a seat on it. “How am I explaining this,” she says staring straight at the dead Chimp. The gory aftermath doesn’t seem to faze her, now that the immediate fear of being has passed.
“Hey,” you interject, crouching down next to her. “Just so you know, my last name isn’t Itsfrench. I was just saying *it is* French.”
She raises an eyebrow at your strange choice of conversation topics in this given context. “My bad Mr. French.”
“It’s okay, but it’s Fosaux.”
“I…” her fluffy ears twitch. “Alright, it’s French for sure.”
You rub your temples and heave a sigh so deep it could well be described as ‘theatrical’.
“No. My name is Dough Fosaux. Period.”
She opens her mouth to say something but you raise your hand, stopping another misunderstanding from ruining the moment. “Please just call me Dough.”
That gets a chuckle out of her.
