my brother in christ just install truenas or similar and use radarr/sonarr/jackett to automate it. this has been a solved problrm for like a decade or longer. i can even give you my compose.yml so all you gotta do is start the container

i literally don't even think about it anymore, my server just finds shit (jackett) sorts shit (radarr/sonarr) downloads shit (transmission) and converts shit (tdarr) all without any intervention from me and all without error. I haven't even manually added a movie to the queue in like a year now that lists work as intended again; I just have it automatically grab new releases from both stephen wu's list of good shit and from my letterboxd friend reccomendtions, and that's not even including my friends requesting shit with overseer

theres no reason not to do this. it's literally three linux commands, to have this entire setup working OOB.
