Nah, I wake up early and always trick myself into thinking it'd be up when I wake up, and the same happens with /fvn/.

Ah duh, I'm not sure why I didn't recognize that as the problem I keep hitting in my head. A lot of the problems would be solved if there's a way to gauge turnout prior to firing a session, but ignoring how hard it'd be to do that, I feel that'd go against the spirit of the "hop in anytime you want" sessions we've had here.

Yeah, I remember with a Party /v/an-adjacent forever ago where TTT was miserable with even 5 players. It'd be nice if I could remember what else I did then beyond TTT and Cinema for ideas.
As much as it's nice with these small groups, it stings that a lot of Source games need more players. Even something like the dozen games with deathmatch works better with more people.

Not that I have an issue with polling for it, if we're going that route I suggest instead just poll for which game to pick (without replacement) instead. I feel it'd be better to have a bias in what we want to play rather than a bias in what we want to remove.

This too. I should be fine hopping in during the weekend afternoons / weeknights for anything. Even the stuff that would benefit from a shorter session could be for then, ignoring turnout issues.
