I was thinking in europe but i can go anywhere. I could get around with buses and cheap hostels, but the prices add up. I have very technical skills so i can do some work, but I want to spend most of the time travelling. Countries you hated: I’ll start
Guatemala
Overrated as fuck
People aren’t pretty
Food isn’t good
Nothing you can do here that you can’t also do in any other Central American country (has a couple good hikes and some cool ruins but that’s about it)
The tourist scene is just retarded hippies and le digitial nomads
Cities are all ugly except for like 3 blocks of Antigua
All the “natural landmarks” are polluted and crowded as fuck
The final verdict ; the best thing to do in Guatemala? Leave and go to any other country nearby it >airbnb listed for 80$
>it’s actually 356$ when you include all fees Travel cheatcode: get a flight attendant gf and travel around the world with her on dirt-cheap discounted tickets

I want to see Italy this summer for three weeks. Thought I'd go through all the major cities but then I realized you'd need a lot more than that to see everything it has to offer, so I decided to just do a couple of places like Rome, Florence, Venice, etc, but be thorough and get a real sense of these places together with all the history they contain. Guess I'll have to come back another time to see the rest.
But then I searched for lodging in Booking and the lowest hotel around the city centre is 290$ A NIGHT. I don't want to spend 6-7k on hotel rooms nor do I want to stay in hostels or in some remote apartments in the outskirts of the city and take the metro or walk every morning to see the sights.
The obvious solution is to rent a car which you can get at 1-1.5k for the entire trip and sleep in it, but then I read they have these "ZTL" zones at the tourist areas where all the interesting stuff are and you get heavily fined for entering them.
So how to go about this trip? And what cities should I visit during three weeks? I've lost the zeal for travelling.
Is this a normal thing to ho through? Does it get better? I used to have such a surreal feeling all the time when I was in a foreign land and experiencing new things, now I just feel like I'm ticking off boxes and passing time until the next place.
Anyone else have experience with this? How do you decide where to go on a trip? There are so many options and I'm getting a little overwhelmed How is Turkey for traveling? ever had to bribe someone while traveling? Share some times when you had a terrible time travelling that actually turned out to be hilarious looking back on it, or you're chill enough to be able to laugh when it happened. For me it was Hawaii.

where can i find a place that will make me belive in the american dream? where can i find americana? Is Arizona just a whiter, beachless Florida? Is there there any reason to visit NYC in the current year?
Or is it as a bad and far gone as /pol/ wants you to believe? Should I go to Central America or SEA next year?
On the one hand, I've been to Thailand and really enjoyed it, on the other hand Central America is a lot cheaper and shorter of a flight, although hotel prices seem more or less the same.
Compare and contrast? Recommendations? Hidden gems? I want to permanently move to Nauru. Is this a good idea? The single most underrated country for /trv/
Way, way better than Czechia
An actual Nation with History, for starters Boomer neighbor lady spent $14,000 on one. She said the amenities were top notch but the people suck. The passengers were mostly insular old folks travel groups.
I had not idea these trips were that expensive. I want a vacation with nature and hiking in the end of april-early may, heard some good things about Bankso. I'm a relatively poorfag so I can't afford places like Switzerland or northern Italy.
Is Bansko a worthy alternative? Is Sweden a nice place to visit? Was planning a trip in the summer but I’m worried the place is full of Muslims and blacks now. Is it really that dangerous?
Is it true that Swedish girls are coal burners? I’m a white American with blonde hair and blue eyes. Will I get completely ignored because I look like I’m Swedish?
Do I need to know any Swedish? Can I get by with English?
Is there any good food to eat in Sweden?
Does Sweden use euros?
Is it true that Swedish people are borderline autistic and refuse to talk to strangers or make friend with people they don’t know?
What are some fun things to do in Stockholm? How is public transportation? We all love to travel Japan, but what about emigrating there? Please convince me it’s a bad weeb idea, because I can’t get it out of my mind. Which country has the worst tourists? I’ll start: Germany.
First of all, there’s so fucking many of them anywhere you go. They’re rude and everywhere and they think they’re superior to everyone else and they actually believe it genuinely, not like Americans who play it up to be funny. God forbid you get stranded in a hostel with a bunch of Germans. What is your favorite airport to fly into or out of? I live in Phoenix and I think Sky Harbor is still the one of the cleanest and most well-laid out. Only downside is having to transfer to LAX for a lot of international flights. how damaged is your passport. does it still work Just got back from a few months of traveling, can someone explain to me why hostels attract richfags? I thought this was for begpackers and poorfags looking to save a few bucks while away. Turns out half the hostels were filled of rich fucks dicking around acting like broke fags. What gives this is the complete opposite I was expecting in Japan. Just bunch of people at night working on their PC's all turned out to be either made off the crypto markets or working some remote job with some fancy title. I asked a few how much they made and told me it was >100K USD that's fucking insane, that's Vancouver pay why the hell are they staying in hostel? The looked like complete homeless fucks but when it came time to do anything they wouldn't blink about how they spent 1000+ on the weekend. Why aren't you in a hotel then?!?
Is this some cool new hipster vibe or meta? Most were Americans so please explain.

>What is this thread? Why are there two generals?
/rcg/ was initially created as a way for the roller coaster enthusiasts on here to discuss all things roller coasters and theme parks. While roller coasters are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other theme parks, their rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /tpg/ comes in.
>Can I talk about Disney/Universal parks in this thread?
Absolutely! Disney discussion of all sorts including rides/resorts/dining/trip planning is OK.
Thread Pro Tip: Access roads and employee areas are very important, actually.

>https://www.mousesteps.com To the older folks, how did 9/11 change travel in general? I'd imagine you're at least 40. I'm planning to stay a full year in NZ using a working holiday visa. Any general tips? Should I buy a used car upon arrival? I've heard NZ hitchhiking is very good but the sheer size of the country intimidates me for getting around.
My current plan is to arrive mid-june and work in a ski town for the season. I've heard mixed opinions on queenstown (touristy and extremely expensive living). Would wanaka be a better choice or are there other ski areas I'm overlooking? Come summer I want to hike the south island section of te araroa, haven't really planned anything else yet because I reckon I'll figure it out as I go
Lastly any advice on interesting temp jobs? I don't really care about the pay as I can support myself with my savings for quite a while I'm going to NYC for my first vacation f0r 600ish dollars for a week

>Flights are only 150$
What should I do on my trip other then walk all day? How do I get out of the airport and into the city? what do you guys do intra day on vacation (No tourist shit)
Has anyone here actually traveled and had locals talk shit to them? What do you do when they tell you to "go home". Especially when you are getting near the gritty underbelly of the country. They may balk at your bwc and funss or maybe they think you are some lame videoblogger and going to bring the wrong attention. Even in Asia I've had local men spit towards me and tell me to go home in broken english. They say things like, "[expensive tourist city destination] is more suitable" in their native tongue and call me an idiot, in a cowardly manner. Tonight in a dark area one even touched my back but scratched me through my clothes with his nails. Usually I just say repeat what they say or "what" or "why" sharply back in their language but what are some actual good retorts to this type of treatment? If they spit passive aggessively I usually spit back, but do any realtravelers have any actual tips? Traveling to places I go, where even sometimes locals are scared to go, is not all sunshine and roses. I'm not going to fight locals and always try to assimilate and befriend but I need some good comebacks to let them know who is boss. Respect has to be maintained at all times amongst the poors.
Hear me out, weebs. Besides the big three (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto), I’m under the impression most large Japanese cities are quite boring.
They almost completely lack historical sights, which is a given, as the country was built from scratch recently. But in contrast to Tokyo, they also lack their Shibuya / Harajuju / Akihibara, Shinjuku (that’s probably just the tip of the iceberg): non-historical areas that still brim with life. They don’t even have it at a smaller scale, it just isn’t there.
An average Euro town of this size (1+ mln) will have TONS of historical areas, an old town, dedicated areas for going out. And I don’t mean capitals, look at Valencia, at Lille, at Hamburg. Packed with landmarks and uniqueness.
In comparison, what is there to see or do in Sendai, specifically? Or in Kawasaki? Or in Fukuoka? Or Saitama? I know these cities don’t cater to tourists, but how do they even cater to locals? I watch videos from these cities and there’s just … nothing there, like most of the screen time is spent in some generic underground mall and everything above the ground is samey.
I know Japan in general is a good country for eating out. But that’s really it. There are no sights, no exciting urbanism, just featureless, drab, extremely samey (however clean and safe they may be) concrete jungles. hello,
I live abroad and do ESL online teaching with Chinese kids as a side hustle. I don't make much with it, just 10k or so a year. I have a joint foreign bank account with my wife, who's a foreigner. The Chinese company doesn't send me a 1099, and tells me basically that I have to do my own taxes (send in a 1040). I talked to a tax professional, and they basically told me (not exactly because of legality) that since they don't send a 1099 and the money is being spent in a foreign country in a foreign bank accoutn, the IRS doesn't know I make this money and I don't **really** have to declare it. I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge about this, as I could really use the extra dough since I'm moving into a new place. used to enjoy Spain, but the violent anti-tourist behavior from locals has pushed me away. Greece it is better and friendlier You wander the world with three pairs of glasses. For the first time in my life, I’m traveling! I’m heading to Wisconsin and trying to figure out what to do while I’m there. I was thinking about fishing by the lake, but I’m open to other ideas. Still debating whether to stay in Madison or Milwaukee, so any advice would be really helpful, especially since this is my first trip. Since Jeets, influencers and overtourism ruined Thailand. Which country still has similar effect for a chud like me?
my guess is Philippines or also can be Cambodia I am planning to visit Brazil soon but I'm a bit worried about getting robbed.
What would be something I could say in portugese that would immediately catch the robbers of guard and make them laugh and become my best friends? In a few day im going to Cambodia. Any travel tips on what to do and what to avoid? Im gonna be there for 9 days i am gonna stay in phnom phen and also go to siem reap. I already got some thing planned like visiting the killing fields and going to angkwor wat. I'm currently in Japan and looking to go to Korea for a week or so after. I traveled there before for a month and stayed in an Airbnb which was like $45-50 a night for a 3 bedroom. Now looking for a single bedroom I can't seem to find a good deal for AirBnb's (Some decent ones around $40) and hotels don't seem that well priced either (Around $40 too). Now $40 for a hotel for me is fine, but I'm currently in Japan I can stay at a good hotel in Kyoto for like $30 a night (I'll admit I probably got a good price). For those that travel to Korea, where did you stay, how much did you spend, and how nice was it? It just seems interesting to me that Seoul would be more expensive than Kyoto/Osaka (I know seoul is the capital and the other two aren't but sitll). Also, personally not interested in any share house/hostel types of arrangements. Thank you =) where in England can I go to meet some actual English people and there arent 3 trillion brown people?
im an American looking to visit the homeland, but all the brown people makes me imagine that it sucks. i'm visiting vienna next week, what should i see? Give me off the beaten track shit to do
What to do in Garden district?
Is Algiers worth it?
Any way to explore "da hood" safely?
Give me everything you've got! Anyone know of stuff to do in Buenos Aires? I'm going to be there for about a month from mid-April to mid-May and most of that time will be free time.
Things I like: fishing, butterflies, tits, food. I always liked the vibes of college towns. The towns that are in rural areas that are mostly dominated by the colleges in them. I think I might move to one of them.
What do you guys think are the best college towns in America? Have you ever traveled to a small rural town and been met by unfriendly or hostile locals? For me? It’s Yellow Pine Idaho. I’ve only been in 2 fights in my life and both were in Yellow Pine - in the same night and within an hour of each other. I don’t recall meeting a friendly person the entire weekend I was there. On the verge of completing my Computer Science degree in Canada. For the life of me, I can not even land an internship or even get an interview here, given every job has 100+ applicants at minimum. In general, even a position for a part-time dishwasher job will get 500+ applications making even min wage jobs impossibly hard to get. I have dual citizenship and looking things up on OpenRent there are quite a few flats for about 600-800 in Newcastle, which is way cheaper than anything in this country. How is the tech market in Newcastle? Is it chavvy? If I'm going to the UK I'd rather avoid anything to do with the city of London. anyone got any advice on bermuda. i'm going there for a week this summer. the island is so small that it's illegal to rent a real car, instead it's either mopeds or these very small 2 seater chinese electric cars. Favorite part of the US?
I have become obsessed with this area in recent years. Most years, I do one international trip, one US trip outside this, and then one trip to this area for 1-2 months during the summer. The food, the sunbathing, the beaches, the ferries to the islands, the stereotypical New England coastal towns, the special summer events; I love it. Negative marks for parts of New Haven and Providence, and Newport is a nightmare during the peak season.
What region in the US could you go back to over and over again? Has anybody ever been to Benin? I want to NEET out in a mega cheap quiet African beach town with a hot thick black voodoo gf. I just turned 18 and i'm going to live alone in Russia, it's really dangerous to woman go alone to another country? Thats kinda silly but I really scared of human trafficking. I'm taking a weekend trip to Toronto next month. What is there to see and do? Best restaurants? Areas to avoid? The hotel I picked is in Yorkville, but it's not prepaid so I can change it if the area is nasty. >traveling with friends
>let them handle the hotel booking
>they get a Marriott that’s a 45 minute walk from anywhere worth seeing in the city
>not even any nearby restaurants because it’s in the city’s old warehouse district
Why the fuck are some people horrible at traveling? Ausfag here. I'm visiting the USA. I have one month, and have decided to visit two different states.
>State 1: Florida
>State 2: ???
What should be the second state, something completely different that I won't find in Florida? Anyone have any experience with visiting Cuba? Tips, tricks? What to look out for. Mostly from the perspective of a US citizen Hey guys, am going to be in Scottland for a few days, again. Went in december alone. This time too, but would love to hike some trails with someone. We dont have to talk much but I would rather do thing ins Scottland with someone.

email: [email protected] Hello /trv/,
I am planning on hitchhiking to Western China from Greece at the end of this month and was hoping some anons could offer some advice. I am mostly interested in knowing:
>Information about border crossings
>What to expect in terms of climate
>Places to visit
>General tips/advice from anons who have done similar journeys
Also if there are any books that you may reccommend that I can read as I have no required end date, I intend on taking my time to learn about each country. I am specifically interested in learning about the religions like the various christian sects, islam and the folk religions along of course with any history.
Since I have no strict time constraints I mostly want to move place to place in acordance with the climate as I understand the lowlands of central asia are extremely hot yet the mountains are temperate, any advice on that would be extremely helpful.
>Pic related is roughly my intended route Hello there people, Receptianon here
After some time, I open this tread to discuss about the way hotels work.
You can share stories of your stays at hotels around the world or you can ask about how an hotel works Is there a good UK version of this map? Or any other interesting travel maps like this one? Anybody got some decent blogs or trip reports to share?
Preferably content telling a good story of a journey, with a more 'old skool internet' feel to it.
Examples which come to mind are:
>Democratic Republic of Congo: Lubumbashi to Kinshasa
A Belgian couple decide to drive across Congo, refusing to pay any bribes, kek. It's long, but it's a fucking wild journey which really paints the picture of how chaotic Congo is.

I think I'll probably just get a nice hotel near the beach in Da Nang and Nha Trang for 1 month each, but any other suggestions, thoughts, unexpected implications? People say Nha Trang is uneventful but I booked a really nice place really cheap there and it looks like the kind of place I can get good access to beaches, city and nature so it looks good to me. Cruise thread. Going on a 12 day cruise in Japan on NCL Spirit in April. Got an inside state room, didn't think it would be worth it for a sea view or balcony. Any good cruise stories or upcoming trips planned? How safe is this area around Volgograd?
Is it an especially dangerous area in russia or not that much?
I want to rent a car and travel around some WW2 sites around volgograd my brothers in the middle of london right now with no phone charge and a flight to catch at 8am london time.

Previous thread: >>2705061 Where can I find some weed? I'm in Rust, and I know it's easy to get in Germany now, but how can I do it with social anxiety? Is the EU roadtrip friendly? I've road tripped across most of the US & Canada now and I found it really nice how there were tons of MTO / Premade food at gas stations that actually was editable and cheap. I've been to Japan 3 times now and found a welcoming experience there with their service plazas and convenience stores. Does Europe have a similar experience? Any particular places I should look out for? >be me

What the fuck? Have you ever travelled with multiple women? I want to go to India so bad but so many fags constantly demoralize me about it. Can anyone share their experience? whats Auckland like? been to perth and melbs, is it like a smaller melbourne or nah? for anyone who takes just the bare minimun travelling, which one do you prefer? I plan on going to the US to do some farmstay/workaway stops, one in Hawaii and one in Alaska, both for the duration of one month.
My big problem is, that Europeans generally are not allowed to do stuff like this under ESTA rights. My idea was to just tell them I'm there for your usual off the shelf vacation / backpacking trip. Do you guys think there will be any issues, especially with all this shit going on right now?
I'm transferring in California btw. Please critique my travel itinerary, I don't travel often:
- Canada --> Dublin --> Lisbon (July 8)
- Lisbon --> Porto (July 10)
- Porto --> Vienna (July 17)
- Vienna --> Prague (July 20)
- Prague --> Dublin (July 24)
- Dublin --> Canada (July 31)
I am attending a 1-week-long family reunion in Porto and later spending at least 4-5 days with my relatives who live in Dublin before returning home (who knows, perhaps they will show me around Ireland beyond Dublin). The only part of the itinerary that is concrete is July 8-17 and my July 31 departure. I would like to visit Prague to listen to a Dvořák concerto and Vienna is close enough that it seems like a reasonable spot to visit? My intention is to avoid tourist/refugee-rich locations, so I can experience greater European authenticity. Perhaps Poland would alternatively be appropriate?
This is my first time travelling solo, as well as my first time visiting Europe, so please provide any advice! Anyone been recently?
It seems like the stories are all over the place.
What I've read so far: Anything on the beach is expensive as hell. Anything close to the beach (Aldea Zama) is not AS expensive, but still touristy and insulated. Tulum town proper seems OK, but very sketch (apparently a police chief got assasinated recently). I've read the beaches are not public anymore, or the ones that are public are covered in trash.
What's the dealio. What are the best places were you can go in spiritual retreats, take shrooms and find your true self?
The Netherlands seem obvious, but also not a friendly or close to nature place.
*note: i don't advocate for doing anything illegal, there are countries where shrooms are legal, see map

But I’m open to just about anything. Me and the wife are traveling to Norway this summer. Everything is pretty much planned but I wanted to know if there was any shops that sell Festdrakts? I mostly just smoke weed and snooze and sometimes walk around or go to the tourist destinations and walk around. I need to rent it by the month because there’s no way I can do everything in 5 days. I need to snooze and smoke weed like 90% of the time
All I do is fucking snooze Just checked into my hotel (in Scandinavia) but saw this bug on the curtain? Is this a bedbug or what? Any help appreciated So, i want to go on a journey with my best friend this year. Which time of the year doesn't really matter since we could combine it either with Snowboarding or just a journey in summer. Have you been to some of these and which would you recommend the most?
- Georgia - Tbilisi, Gudauri, Kazbegi
- Turkye - Istanbul, Ankara and outskirts
- Vietnam
- Alaska
- Wyoming, Montana
- Spain - Galicia
- North/Northwest of France - Bretagne
- Denmark/Norway
- Ireland/Schottland/England
- Montenegro/Bosnia you WILL be visiting Jonestown now that the Guyanese government has opened it as a tourist site, right? In June and July I will be visiting the Stan countries, I have dual citizenship, Czech/British, but I will be using the Czech as I do not have to have any visas. Does anyone who has traveled any of these countries have any advice?
Cheapest way to get around?
What the land borders are like?
Anything I should really try and see?
I'll be going low budget as possible, using hostels and going to the cheapest places possible.
>Picrel is the area I'll be sticking to Smoky Mountain bros...is Gatlinburg worth visiting? Are there any good places to eat there? I want to visit, but I heard it can get really crowded there, especially during holidays which is when I'll have the time to go what i'm looking for i a list or map showing different trains and where they stop.
journey planners are rubbish, it's giving me a journey with 5 changes, yet there's a train to my destination every hour from a nearby station, i'd rather have a simpler journey than a shorter one. but I can't find a list of like "the chester train runs between chester and holyhead and goes to these stops along the way" also when you use a journey planner on national rail it doesn't show you what train it si specifically, e.g. the chester train if you want to travel only to say conwy to bangor, which is a few stops in the middle of the route, i want to know the whole route, so i can plan and make my journeys simpler. where can i find that info? Is solo traveling weird in 2025? I know everyone will give the basic Reddit response of “no grl go live ur life” but like deep down… your friends and family back home are wondering why the fuck you’re going places alone and the “friends” you “meet” at these places are wondering why you couldn’t find people to travel with. Is this the case? I have never left the USA and my friends often ask why. But the reality is that I am just not thrilled about other places that much and the places I want to go to are fucking weird in certain ways that make me not want to go. Like I am never going to Korea or anywhere where the toilets aren't like the USA toilets. I primarily want to visit Mexico and Argentina but I hear that you can't drink the tap water there or you will get sick. What kind of shit is that? Literally can't brush your teeth with the water either. Then some places are very VERY close to third world-esque situations. Like I wanted to go to Puerto Rico or The Dominican Republic but I hear you basically have to stay on the resorts which if you are on a resort, you are basically just in Miami from what I hear. So what do you guys think? Is traveling really a good and useful experience or is it mostly ass? not to mention, I hate transit. I hate waiting / getting fucked over by flights etc. Hi!!! I was curious if anyone has advice applying for student Visas for places in Europe like England, Ireland, and France as an American? I’m thinking of applying to schools next year and wanted to know if anyone would talk about how the process was and if they enjoyed their time going to school in those countries? Izmir edition
Post trip plans, past experiences, advice, questions, hotles, etc. in this thread. What others do a lot usually doesn’t get high value. Everything is already discovered. No novelty. /trv/ will oppose to this opinion or fact tho I have to combine four flat hotel pillows to make one normal pillow.
Why do they use these pancake pillows? >be White Dork making 60k a year, fully remote
Where can I travel to dorkmax? I'm looking for a comfy place where I can generate the maximum seethe from the local male population. Tampa Vs. Florida?
What's the better place to spend a whole week? What do you think about tourist cities such as Paris or London? Do you see a point in visiting them/ Because it seems like it would be better to visit where people actually live and isn't just another New York City.
>pic not related I’m taking my gf on a trip to Rome this weekend and was planning on proposing. Unfortunately, I tripped over a curb on a run this morning and smacked my eye off of a lamppost. It’s pretty bad. Do I just wear sunglasses the whole time? What is there to do in Tucson, Arizona, besides hiking? Who wants to meet up and do stuff? We're think about going to the Shinjuku Golden-Gai district tonight How do I convince the wife to find a dealer and a whore so we can fuck the shit out of her over a mountain of coke at our resort?
I dropped $6,000 on a week at one of the supposedly 'good' resorts, but only because she wanted to go, and it's one of those "keep the wife happy" kinda trips, so I'm trying to find something about going there to get me happy....
Never been to Mexico before, had no interest other than the beaches look neat... but what would it take to get my wife fired up for a night of debauchery...
>be us
>early 40s
>15 years married
>joked about 3-ways, but never followed through....
... where's a place in Cabo, where it could push her over the edge? What countries will be the most unwelcoming and hostile towards American travelers in the Trump 2.0 era?
What countries should I stay out of at this time?
I did most of my international travel during the Obama era when the US was more respected around the world and wish I could go back to that time I need to honor my creator, Yakub. My name is Sigismund Steinhauser. I'm 100% Prussian-German ethnicity, Aryan as fuck. I live in Long Beach, California. What's there to do in Patmos plus cheapest way to get there? I know I have to enter Athens first and then take a boat to Patmos. is real china worth visit?i am thinking staying there a week or two before i go for Japan or should i go to philippines instead? Just been to Cyprus for ten days, Greek side only. It's a pretty cool island.
Here are some photos, also AMA. I've always had an interest in Afghanistan, mostly to see old military stuff and experience the firearms culture there, check out old tanks and guns and meet the Talis. I'd like to visit and it's not easy to find someone who's been more recently to give advice. did the Alps live up to your expectations?
crypto rich 37y chronically depressed introverted asocial 3/10 retired neet who has never done any traveling. i was renting a place and neeting quietly but the owner is selling the house and kicking me out. so i can choose to move locally, move far away, or try traveling for a while.
On the one hand I never travel, don't like the idea of traveling, and suspect I would just hide in my hotel room. on the other hand since i can afford to do it and it's something everyone says you should do if you get a chance, maybe i should try it and i'd see amazing shit and make cool friends and it would undepress me and be awesome. but I'm pretty uggo and autistic and not actually very interested in s3x or drugs or partying. so I feel like that fucks me on a lot of what people find fun about traveling.
or maybe I should airbnb in different places in the usa for a month at a time and get a feel for somewhere i'd actually want to live. but aside from cheaper = better and wanting low crime and not too crowded and a decent climate i'm not sure why any place would be better than anywhere else to neet it up in. so i have a hard time motivating myself to do anything besides just renting or buying a house in this town i already live in and kinda hate and continue neeting as i always have.
should i get off my ass and try the travel thing or am i honestly just not compatible with the lifestyle? i have choice overload but all the choices suck but i feel compelled to pick one anyways because people say that's what you should do.
tl;dr Planning a honeymoon roadtrip across the US, how safe is it to drive?
I'm asking the question here and Plebbit in the hopes of getting the real answer halfway between the two extremes.
>from the UK, I'm Arab (and very Arab looking, beard and all) and my wife is White. Neither of us drink.
>Landing in Orlando and spending 2 weeks at Disney World
>renting a car and driving to Disney in California
>2 further weeks for driving and Anaheim and then fly back from LA
We're both very much into the Wild West theme so will most likely take the route going Jackson>Dallas>Amarillo>Albuquerque. Considered a RV but I think it would probably be better to drive it and just check into proper hotels (rather than motels). With how divisive and polarised everyone is at the moment, how safe would it be to do the drive? We're don't care about politics, religion, race or any of the usual divide and conquer tactics, we just want to be left alone and try to enjoy life.
Thinking of doing the trip in Autumn 2026. Austin wants to be Portland, Portland wants to be Seattle, Seattle wants to be San Francisco, San Francisco wants to be Paris, Paris wants to be Paris 40 years ago I have made plans to visit Banff Natl. Park and other bits and places in Alberta in May. Planning on getting there by car, not plane. Are there any travel restrictions? Is it still possible to drive into Canada now? I saw a post on /pol/ last night saying Canada banned travel for US citizens but is that just hearsay or true? Couldn't reply because the site went down. Are some of us just born to wander and travel? Does anyone have any insight or thoughts to summarize those with a habit to perpetually travel?
My wanderlust has brought me much beauty, but the part I am trying to understand more is the part when I am a few weeks into a travel and I get absolutely miserable and seek the comfort of home.
Perhaps I should just plan for shorter trips , but as I get older I am seeing travel as an addiction that makes it hard for a "stable life"
Perhaps I should make more videos or journals or just simply enjoy the travel life more and embrace it instead of be bothered by this "sickness"
Let me know what you think Anon How are we feeling about Real ID? After May 7th of this year you are effectively banned from flying if you can't afford one or get one in time. Do I really need a VPN if I am traveling and have a remote job and I just bring my work laptop everywhere with me? Or will the eternal boomer find out and fire me? which of these did you enjoy visiting the most? Is traveling with friends for the first time a major mistake? Time to ask the boss for a raise Qualifications
-Almost no one actually grew up there, receives heavy migration from around the country
-Decently walkable neighborhood, but not a walkable metro area
-#1 thing to do is go to a brewery/biergarten
-Everyone lives in an apartment built in the last 10 years
-Skews young relative to the nation
-New apartments are all 'soulless' (read: five-over-one with a broken up facade) Someone posted this thread last month and he got called a seething poorfag but it was absolutely true. Hotels in America are overpriced trash and I'm tired of pretending they aren't. Here's one of the trashiest metro areas in the country. 1M= $39 Planning a trip to Canada doing Vancouver to QC to Montreal to Toronto, but is it worth using the rail at any point here? I've heard of frequent train delays but QC to Montreal seems like the best point to actually do it to save a little on getting to downtown. Pill me on Montenegro. Is it worth it to spend a couple of days from Croatia? Next week I'm flying to Djerba, maybe Zarzis for cheap vacation in 4 or 5 star resort. How does this compare to Egyptian 5 stars in Hurghada or Marsa Alam? Do I need to make some extra precautions because I'm taking my family with me? I've heard it's one of these places where sub-saharan niggers are gathering before they're smuggled to Europe.
I know this place of Tunisia is Tatooine from Star Wars (it was filmed there and Tatooine is named after Tataouine), but is there actually something interesting to move ours asses from hotel and see? Are local Arabs with shishas and camels any different to Arabs with shishas and camels in Egypt? Doing a little road trip hugging the Mississippi up the delata. But Jackson isn't too far and it's 80% black which makes me kind of curious to see it. Is it worth it? What is there to do? Am I better of exploring random delta towns that are probably 80% black? I feel like an 80% black city will be pretty cool though music and food etc. wise.
