Genuinely how the fuck do people deal with this shit? Could you anons share your experiences in the Balkans, please?
I'm planning a 13 night journey in this region, through Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia. It will be a solo backpacking trip in the summer. I'm interested in history, architecture, pretty nature, nightlife, and social hostels.
Pic-related is Kotor, Montenegro, somewhere I plan to visit on this trip. How is this country ? I decided to go there for a few months without knowing much about it.
It seemed the cheapest place around, close, in the EU, i want to save money, work remote, and take a break from my friends and family.
Is it possible to make friends or hang out with Bulgarians as a foreigner ? Like at random at the bar or if you have places or things to do to suggest. >be me
>want to to teach english in japan for a year or two before settling down with a more permanent career in my home country
>decide to do some research (admittely, a lot it is on reddit)
>most of it is negative stories about how awful it is, how shitty the companies are, how it's basically modern slavery, etc
I don't intend to make it my life career, but if I just want to live in japan in a small apartment and live a modest lifestyle for a couple years, is it really that bad?
have any anons here taught english in japan, and if so, what advice would you give? Going to Germany next month, but still undecided on wtf I should do.
Should I spend a few days in Berlin area, then head down south to Munich area for final days, OR should I focus entirely on Northeastern Germany and just do day trips to all the cities near Berlin?
I have 10 days.
Also general Germany thread how’s estonia? Been wanting to go for a while go check it out, maybe even find a different place to live. Getting pretty tired of America I have 17 nights and would like to visit at least 5 European cities/countries that are relatively homogenous with nice art/architecture/history and reasonably logistically convenient
Must see: Budapest
Choose 4 from these options:
-Warsaw or Krakow
-Prague
-Vienna
-Munich (would like to see one German city and it's convenient, same with Vienna)
-Croatia
-Bucharest
-Other Balkan countries >food you like
>underrated places
>things to do
>vietnam long-term visa situation

I honestly, unironically cannot understand the universal obsession with Japan. Is it just some anime-induced delusion? I gave it several tries and it is unquestionably the most overrated travel destination in the world.
If I were to sum up Japan in one word, it would be "superficial". It all looks nice but if you look under the facade just a little bit then it's all fucking shit. The fake pleasantries are one example of this but there's tons of others: the culture of cute/cosy cafes and restaurants dotted around Japanese cities that actually all sell the exact same sub-par and boring products; the food culture of making it look extra nice and colorful but then it's actually just some bland and completely uninspired flavor plus a random selection of pickled vegetables whose compatibility with the other food is severely questionable; the overall autistic retardation of the people that sucks the fun out of any event, izakaya, or club and makes even nightlife seem like a chore.
Honestly, choose any random destination in Asia and I guarantee that you will have more fun, eat more interesting food, and enjoy yourself more than in Japan.
I guess I could understand wanting to go to Japan specifically if you want to see their temples and shrines, but then even that I enjoyed equally if not more in, say, China or Thailand.
Japan is a fucking meme. I'm visiting there next week (solo). What are the must see sights and what are some of the tips you'd recommend to get the most out of it? I'm planning on visiting Cairo but I've heard a lot of negative stuff and that it is on par with India. Is there any country left where locals get happy when tourist arrives? Has anyone ever been to Kyrgyzstan ? I've been told it's wonderful but that you need a guide. Is it safe ? I've read there are still landmines near tajikistan's border Don't come to San Francisco. Holy fucking shitballs are people here sick. Previous thread: >>2764517
Come discuss your Poland travel plans and experiences here. I'm planning my first big solo hiking/camping trip, the destination is Olympic national park. I've done plenty of solo trips and trips with others but haven't attempted a big solo trip like this and am struggling to plan my itinerary. Any recommendations on how to avoid the crowds? What would you recommend I bring apart from the common stuff? Any tips for places to go, park, camp, etc. and things to do?
Hi everyone. I've planned a full week in Japan from August 31st to September 7th dedicated to hiking the Kumano Kodo Trail.
I've been to Japan several times before. This time I'm going for the nature and sense of adventure. I'll spend most of the time in the Kii Peninsula, starting in Tanabe and ending in Nachi/Katsuura. I'll spend an extra night in Katsuura so I can catch Nachi Falls early in the morning, and hopefully if there's time travel up the coastline to Kumano itself.
I'm planning to visit all three of the grand shrines (Kumano Sanzen), and I have bookings throughout the journey already reserved.
Since I'm going at the end of August/beginning September, I'm taking my time and going at a leisurely pace of 4 days on the trail itself. I'm pretty fit, but I hear horror stories of the weather at this time. I know it's a well worn and developed trail, and I will be near the coast and in the mountains, so perhaps I don't need to worry too much, but I'm still doing it solo, and I really want to absorb the experience.
Anyways, I'm wondering if any one has experience on the trail, or just general tips for traveling the area. Perhaps some suggestions for the Kii-Peninsula?
Appreciate your input!! Shanghai edition
Post trip plans, past experiences, advice, questions, etc. in this thread. I'm flying Delta First Class later this month, it's my first time flying Delta. What should I expect? At what age is it objectively and unquestionably cringe to go out clubbing, partying etc. when traveling?
It seems to me that you can easily get away with it in mid-30s if you look young. Can one push it even further? Of course if you're balding or fat you shouldn't be going clubbing even if you're 21.
Driving from SLC to El Paso over july 4 weekend and I want to take two extra days off so I have 5 days.
I usually would do nature stuff but the cultural heritage stuff seems more interesting.
>Day 1 (july 3) finish work at 3pm and drive to Durango or Pagosa springs Colorado
>Day 2 (july 4) drive to Taos and do full day there
>day 3 (july 5) full day in Taos area
>day 4 (july 6) drive to santa fe... full day in santa fe (visit some spanish sites on the way
>Day 5 (july 7) santa fe full day
>day 6 (july 8) drive to acoma pueblo, tour city in the sky (big bucket list item), drive to ABQ and chillax
>Day 7 (july 8) work from ABQ, get off work at 3pm and drive to el paso
Thoughts?
Main shit I want to see besides wandering the cities:
>Taos Pueblo
>San Francisco de Asís Mission Church
>Las Trampas: San José de Gracia Church
>El Santuario de Chimayó
>San Miguel Chapel (oldest USA church :D)
>at least 1 art museum
>If I need some more stuff to fill time Bandelier National Monument
>Acoma village is my main must see
Muslims beheaded Canadian mining company consultants in Mindanao who were helping torture and kill indigenous Lumads.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ridsdel
>At the time of the kidnapping, he was retired. Prior to that he had been working for the mining company TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc.,[3] a subsidiary of Canada's TVI Pacific, where he was also a consultant.
>Ridsdel was kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf militants in the Philippines on 21 September 2015, in a raid on Holiday Ocean View Samal Resort, on Samal Island in the southern Philippines.[4] After the gunmen disarmed the resort's security guards, they abducted four people from the resort, the Canadians John Ridsdel and Robert Hall, the resort's Norwegian marina manager Kjartan Sekkingstad, and a Filipino woman, Teresita Flor.[5]
>The kidnappers later issued demands for a hefty ransom to be paid for the release of the hostages, reportedly 300 million pesos (around $6.5 million) for each of the three foreigners seized. As the deadline lapsed on 25 April 2016, they apparently beheaded Ridsdel.[6] Ridsdel's head was found in a plastic bag in Jolo.[7] A headless body, possibly Ridsdel's, was later found by villagers by a creek bed near Talipao. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police launched an international murder investigation.[8]
The company he worked for was involved in torturing and killing indigenous Lumad people (Lumads are not Muslim btw)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVI_Pacific
>In 2015 TVI was mentioned along with several other mining companies as being the likely beneficiary of a series of government-funded murders of the indigenous Lumads who live in the Mindanao region of the Philippines, an area rich in mineral resources to which these companies would like better access.[3]

I might make a detour and pay a visit but I'd like to spice it up with some amusement like rollercoasters, I heard there's a place called Energyland, is it fun and worth the money? Surely, there's at last one safe place in this whole thing. I'm planning a two week trip with my gf in October. Where should I go? Some places I'm considering are Greece, Japan, Argentina, Peru, and Brazil. Any place I should prioritize? Can I do a week in Peru and a week in Brazil or are two weeks ideal for each place? I'm from the UK currently travelling across central asia en route to China. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna run out of money when I get to China and I'm wondering have any of you anons ever got a loan from the embassy to pay for your flight?
What was the process like? Did they make it difficult? I'm especially interested if any other Brit anons have done it. how do anglos feel about italians taking their areas I am going to Malaysia for 16 days. Was Bourdain right? Turkish airlines has a promo where you can get 1 million miles by flying to all 6 continents they fly.
You can do it for about $3k (depending on where you start from)

These are the only criteria that come to mind at the moment
>super paranoid about crime so don't want to go somewhere we might get shot
>not super rich so can't go somewhere like a swanky ski resort in Colorado
>don't want to go through Vegas because that would encourage dad's slight gambling addiction
>don't want places that would involve activities that'd put physical pressure on dad like a strenuous hike in the mountains
>do generally like any scenic outdoor locations
>have already been to Yosemite and NYC in my childhood Do you usually travel abroad with no time limit and then just go home whenever? Or do you usually already have your return trip home planned?
Most of my trips have always been done with a one-way ticket and then i just buy a return ticket when im ready to go home or maybe have some obligations to go home for
It sucks one-way tickets tend to be more and Im trying to figure out whats a better way to return home cheaply but also with a more flexible date. (Someone said if I fly at least main cabin or business class with most airlines. I can usually exchange return date for free or cheaply)
But im mostly wondering if you guys also usually fly one way (YOLO)
Or if you can only get 2 weeks off for your trip (wage cuck) Would you consider taking a Carnival cruise if the ship jannies start enforcing these new rules? Hi /trv/, going to fly soon, quite excited and all. I have an older backpack I want to bring, but it doesn't have that trolley sleeve thing to put on your luggage handle. what'd be the best way to get the backpack to stay on the luggage handle? Is there anything to see there? Is it as dreary as every video implies it is? Even the "nice neighborhoods" look like car centric hellholes.

Bros, this is one of the greatest cities on earth, please talk about your experiences here.

Post cruise line recommendations, experiences, tips, what to avoid, favorite routes, best times to sail, etc. I can travel for free using google earth Where's the best destination for food tourism? Bonus points for naming regions over nations.
Personally I remember liking:
>Andalucia (especially Cordoba for free tapas)
>Sicily (nice street food selection)
>Krakow (basically every cuisine available for very reasonable prices and decent quality) Visiting Orlando for a week. Anything cool worth doing, preferably budget friendly? Mainly looking into food and shopping As far as i see it and despite living in europe i wasnt in any of these countries for a while. But from what i see and hear its endless hordes of boomers and overtourism. Also more and more noneuropeans. And extremely overpriced.
Any Opinions? hello trv. I am a complete virgin/noob when it comes to flying, being on a plane, touching a single inch of a plane also even being at a airport. Now I HAVE traveled to chicago, times square and knoxville but never by air. Since picture is technically me when comes to anything to do with flying/aiport. I DO have my REALID. Would it be smart to say take a 3-4hour flight or take 1-2 flight since im a virgin? Hi /trv/,
I have a 22+ hour flight coming up soon, with a brief layover inbetween. The longest I've spent on a plane is about 4 hours so I'm looking for tips and advice on how to stay comfy on a flight that long. Do you recommend buying one of those neck pillows some people have? Thanks I’ve recently come across a Japanese traditional craft called "Tokyo Ginki" (silverware from Tokyo). Has anyone here ever bought anything like that — either in Japan or online?
I’d also love to hear about other traditional Japanese crafts you’ve purchased—like Arita porcelain, Kyoto textiles, lacquerware, or anything else. What did you buy, where did you get it, and was it worth it?
Curious to hear your experiences and recommendations! Im 22 male. I have a rav4 and 2k cash. I am going west and most likely living in the wilderness for a while and maybe will end up in Vegas or Texas. My family doesn't want anything to do with me and my gf left me. I used to scam people for a loving but I stopped to follow Jesus and the one true God. I truly have nobody and no path in life. Someone has to have some stories from this place. Anyone live there, been there? I'll be passing through in a couple months. What do you recommend? How's the altitude sickness was it killer? Food, drink, interesting souvenirs? Going to guess that Spanish is a necessity? Lay it on me. I'm going backpacking throughout all of Eastern Europe in a month, going to stay there for ~51 days. Are there any international sim card providers that support nearly all of eastern europe (atleast the ones in the EU & North Macedonia)
Looked online and it seems like all of the "travel" focused sim card providers are completely price gouging or there's little to no information on them, assumed that there would be a reddit-esque infographic online for all the international data providers but sadly there seems to be nothing of the sort.
tl;dr: recommend international eastern european phone data providers
Is there a state with a more undeservedly smug view of itself than Minnesota? The week I spent in Minnesota was the most disappointing trip I've ever taken. It's not like it's the worst place I've ever visited, but it's pretty bland and doesn't do anything that other places don't do a lot better.
>Twin Cities
Minnesotans seem to think these cities are on par with real cities like Chicago, New York, or LA. The Twin Cities metro is mostly suburban sprawl, and not the fun kind of sprawl like Houston. The number one tourist attraction is a large, shitty shopping mall.
>Outdoors
Not godawful, but fairly flat and repetitive. Nothing nearly as good as the the Badlands and Black Hills in their neighbor, South Dakota, and there are better places to visit a Great Lake. Absolutely crushed by the outdoors in places like California or Utah. I visited in the summer, although I doubt winter is especially fun there.
>High culture
Outside of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (a great museum, especially for an area that size) there isn't much.
>Low culture
One might expect a state that's one of the worst dressed to have all sorts of fun low culture. It doesn't. Minnesota never developed any sort of good local or regional cuisine like a BBQ style, Detroit Coneys, or deep dish pizza. There doesn't appear to be any dumb fun like lowrider culture either.
>People
Shockingly smug about their mediocre state Whats Rome like in 2025? I was there last in 2019 and 2020 before covid. Has it become worse? Always wanted to go back Seeing how the country gets destroyed in real time, that's the only thing that comes to mind when i think about Japan now.
Not samurais, not vidyas, not prime Scarlett Johanson, not anything but naggers nagging people in the subway, naggers harassing people, soda machines getting destroyed and so on.
I really hope other asian countries learn the lesson from Japan's downfall.

Disney parks were initially founded as a way to celebrate the culture and history of America and provide middle class families with a fun-filled immersive experience. While theme parks are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other roller coasters & rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /rcg/ comes in.

Absolutely! Disney and Universal are currently competing for the Orlando theme park market and beyond! Universal is opening new resorts all around the US and new continents!

what is it with Spanish speaking countries lately that has them protesting tourism?
https://archive.is/20250616053425/https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/06/16/my-day-with-spanish-anti-tourist-activists/#selection-4229.67-4229.77
>This was supposed to be an anti-tourism protest in Barcelona, one of many co-ordinated across southern Europe on Sunday.
>After making a short political stand, the Assembly for Tourism Degrowth moved on, with the tourist magnet of the Sagrada Familia church in our sights
>Then came the tape. Activists began crossing the front entrance repeatedly, symbolically “barring” entry with red-and-white ribbon. It was too much for one hostel employee, who stormed out shouting in frustration.
>Protesters sprayed him with their water pistols as he tore through the tape, grabbed one of the guns, and returned fire. A brief scuffle broke out, with pushing and shoving, before he was eventually pulled back inside.
>Moments later, another activist emerged from the crowd and picked up where the soaking had left off. He kicked a smoke bomb into the hostel, where horrified tourists – including children – looked on.
>For groups like hers, tourism is not just a nuisance but a form of “economic colonisation,” where quality of life is sacrificed for the comfort of short-term visitors. Their goal, they insist, is not better tourism but less of it.
>That may be true for most activists but their actions sometimes blur the line. The most common chant that echoed throughout the day was: “Tourists go home, refugees welcome.”

Why the hell is this so common in SEA? Holy shit I thought this was a meme, is there some magic words I am missing? Not even staying in one of those shitty OYO rat dens these are pretty decent hotels with gyms, included breakfast, etc. Like fuck man my check in at my next hotel isn't until 3 let me kill time with my luggage in peace for a few hours. Asking to chill in the lobby before or after check in often seems like a roll the dice and I hate paying stupid high prices of late checkout. What's the work around? Okay I’m currently interailing through mainland Europe and everywhere is whinging and complaining every time I make a card transaction. This really fucking grinds my gears because finding an atm which doesn’t charge service fee (5 euro on average = 10 AUD which is extortionate) is near impossible.
If I know I’m visiting a country which used prodoninately cash I will withdraw a heap but that is also a burden. I am currently in Austria and I have never seen so many cunts whinge and eye roll when saying you have cash, let alone businesses which won’t even do the same. Me losing 5 euro is more devastating to their 0.0001 transaction fee or whatever the fuck it is. I understand cash is Important for the people but it’s also a burden.
Am I the only one here, this is with wise bank btw Going solo to Iceland for 5 days at the end of this month. Anything notable to see/do/eat? Hey /trv/ has anybody ever travelled the Caucasus region before? I recently had a thread up but mods deleted it because I got banned lol

- what is the best season to travel?
- any cities/towns/regions which are a non negotiable to visit?
- anything I have to do while in the counties? Example apparently Georgia has incredible wine
- any /out/ related activities?
- anything I should watch out for?
- what’s the main spoken language, should I learn basic Russian or just stick to English and pray
- how expensive is it in comparison to euro prices, food/accomodation/transport
Tell me about your experiences in said counties.
I am more so interested in Georgia and Armenia, visiting Azerbaijan would just be an extra if I had time, would 2 weeks be sufficient? Really?
I will be cancelling. I'm roadtripping the next few weeks through Norway, specifically through the cities of Kristiansand, Bergen, Stavanger and up to Odda and then back through Oslo to Swedistan Caliphate.
I am looking for recommendations on where to find second hand markets / thrift shops / bargain bin places etc. in the above mentioned cities or on route between them. I love the concept of "loppis" in Sweden.
Finding bargain bin old beat-up watches and stuff like that is a lot of fun.

Is there any sim card that's worth a damn that you can buy and top up to use between SEA countries? Tired of dealing with airport wait lines and other BS to grab a sim or deal with someone line bullshit about how it slows to 2mbps during 9-5 or doesn't come with a local number for some odd shit that no one told me needs a local cell #. What do long term Asian enjoyers use for +30 day sims?
>inb4 esim
My Phone doesn't support 2 active esims at the same time, last time I deactivated my esim for my provider it wanted me in the USA to reactivate it meaning all OTP messages went to my tablet. Going to Cuba in October, what should I expect? My plan is to travel throughout the west, not sure if I'll have time for the East. What are some must-dos? I like war history stuff. Flying into Varadero. I am seriously thinking about doing it next spring. Not sure if it’s the best board to ask this but I think this is semi-related.
So me , a 20 years old chink, was looking for bus stop to tomorrow’s spot in Salzburg, I just found it and when I was walking to there , there’s a group of young white girls walking behind me.
Suddenly there’s one girl came up to me, she something like “ catch up” or something? Idk i didn’t really focus, and seemingly wanted me to shake hands to her. Hey, I'm an early 30s looking to travel solo to Bali. Beaches, surfing, diving, yoga, meditation, food, meeting girls and partying is what I would enjoy doing there. This is my first solo travel so I'm wondering how easy it is to find other people there to hang out with, date etc. Going alone to a beach club would feel awkward to me. Are there other locations you would recommend over bali? Some adventure would be nice Ding Dong and Grab Edition
Welcome to the Philippines!
Here we discuss the cultural exchanges, Filipino cuisine, the beaches, the waterfalls, ecotourism, and the night life of Manila and Cebu.
Other topics of discussion are Vloggers in the Philippines.
Transportation in the Philippines.
Filipino politics regarding foreigners.
Finally, we cannot discuss how fat cuckshed is! >move to Japan
>realize people are not any better here and the japanese superiority is all just weeb delusions
>realize that having no niggers around is nice but I'm effectively all alone and nobody is genuinely friendly, just fake politeness and platitudes
>the buglike culture and behavior stars to wear me down fast
>even the meme food gets boring
lads I think I fucked up. advice for this feel?
but yes no niggers is fantastic Spending a week a friend's house in Venetto Italy. Went to Venice, Bologna, Rovigo, Verona, Revana, Forli.
Pros:
- Not insanely hot
- Amazing Food
- Beer is not as bad as I thought it woul be.
- Everyone looks good, the wops are actually white.
- Surprisingly affordable if you aren't dumb.
- People are ridiculously friendly, not used to this since I grew up with southerners and they're absolute scum.
- Verona is the most beautiful city I've ever seen.
- Trains are decent.
Cons:
- Niggers
- Jeets
- Abduls
- High Taxes if one were to live here.
Is it worth going to Florence tomorrow? Is it worth moving to Verona? For context, I am white with blue eyes. Why haven't you visited one of the oldest cities in the world and the cultural heart of South Asia, anon? >41 single male

I wouldn't mind meeting a girl but at this age and stage I am probably past it. I did do too well with woman when I stayed in the UK for 2 months (only picked up one girl) so I am thinking that my results may be similar in Europe?
I am interested in Europe because I've never been there, only the UK. New Zealand is cheap with incredible hikes and drives available & China is essentially the center of the world right now...I've always had a dream of going to Chongqing and it's something I must fulfill.
THESE are the only options I've done everywhere else that I am interested in. 6 times Japan etc, Thailand 2-3 times etc etc etc.
I want to have sex, but I also want cultural stuff I don't just want a Pattaya party I want a mix of everything...Terracotta warriors meets 25 year old hottie in my hotel room... Regular flights started again by Turkish airlines, should I go? How is it? Heard the past 2 years or so the nightlife is surprisingly good. And everything is cheap for now Anyone who admits to flying business class for non-business should be banned from posting.
>Let me guess, you're poor
IDK, kind of? I just don't want to double my trip price for a slightly nicer flight. It's toxic to say $5k is a trivial amount of money and anyone who says this should be banned. > Travels from California to Nevada.
> Realizes I left the trees of Ca. to visit a fucking desert.
> Palms start to sweat.
On the upside me and my dad got the fireworks (that are illegal in Ca.) that we came for. Bought them at a gas station owned by the Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Tribe. Hello,
My topic is a bit niche and complex so it does not fit in the Japan general. I am looking to explore Japan's nature, including a hike to Tateyama or another impressive mountain.
We are going in August and will be visiting Nikko national park for its hot springs, forests, and waterfalls.
For hiking, I would like views like in picrel - Mount Jodo which is slightly southwest of Tate. Tateyama and its nearby shrine looks like a great idea, but I heard it is swamped with tourists. We would like it to be a daytrip, coming from either Tokyo or the Nikko region, but are willing to spend a night in the region if absolutely necessary
My questions are
> what would be the best base station to start our hike ?
> are there any mountains you might recommend instead or in addition to? the less tourists the better - we are not even going to bother with Mt. Fuji for that reason
> is August rainy? should we plan flexibility in our schedule to avoid that?
> any other wilderness tips or suggestions Greetings /trv/, /g/ here
Taking a trip to HK in a week to work for about 3 weeks. What are some fun things to do there, I'm a bit of a foodie and would love to try some good dishes out there nothing spicy though. Looking to take some strolls through a former colony and take a step back in time. Where would be the best place for that. Should I bring cash are they like americans and still use that? How many americans are there is it flooded like I heard Japan is with them. Any place to do a 'culture exchange' if you know what I mean.
Also is the weather correct? I'm seeing it say nearly 35 degrees? How are you not suppose to die there, do you just hire taxi to get around all the time? What the fuck is he thinking, he basically nuked his entire channel
I'm not paying for that shit I'm visiting Tampa in a few days for a ten day vacation and I've never been to the US. I'm from the middle east. I'm kinda anxious that I'll be denied even though I'm not doing anything illegal. Going to anahiem for a business trip next week. What's there to do after work. Ill be staying right by Disney world but I dont want to give pedophiles my money...
Think I will just cruise around i guess, hit the beach. Can I work out in Venice Beach or do I have to be on steorids? Anyone have any experience traveling out west? I’d like to visit in the fall, and want to ride some horses in the mountains. Do you have any suggestions? I’ve been to Colorsdo and Utah in the spring before and love the mountains Parents booked a one week vacation in Northern Ireland in August and are inviting me expenses paid. Thing is I don't see anything exciting to do. Archive says it's boring and expensive. Tips? I used to travel with my dad and older brother a lot, but my dad is getting old and my brother got married and a promotion so he's pretty busy with his life. What are some of the best places to visit as a solo female traveller without getting bothered? My mom went to Spain once when she was in her 20s and the harassment was so bad my dad could never convince her to go on another trip anywhere.
>inb4 india, saudi arabia, any number of joke countries, etc.
Fuck off. I'm going overseas with a friend for vacation this summer and we're planning for where we're going to stay right now. We came to a disagreement when he found a B&B near where we wanted to stay that was pretty cheap and well-reviewed. Not an Airbnb where you have like the whole place to yourself (I don't want to do that either but for other reasons) but like a proper traditional B&B.
I don't want to stay in a B&B, My understanding is that it's essentially a large house that you're renting a bedroom in for a few days, and the rest of the living space (kitchen, dining room, maybe the bathroom etc.) is shared between all the guests. I don't really like the idea of sharing my living space with a grab bag of strangers for four days.
Admittedly, I've never stayed in a B&B so I can't be sure. Is my understanding correct? What have your guys' experiences been like? Hundreds of millions of negroes and can't even think of one thing to see or do there, or reason to go
India's a shithole too but at least they're full of history, scenery, and historic sites I'm staying in Jakarta for 1 or 2 months. What do I think about it?
I havent been out of my country canada for 3 years. just been unenthused after my last trip to my parents home country croatia. theyre from dalmatia which is flocked with tourists and it felt so blah. i researched italy, spain, and got to know the intense anti tourism movements they got goin on there. and also that shit is shoulder to shoulder packed with all tourists if u go to rome/florence/barcelona etc. and that just does not interest me
i have developed a new theory of travel: find the worst, most unnotable place in a place, and go there for 2-3 weeks. my favorite place in croatia was benkovac. 0 tourists, nothing to see. just vibes. if i went to italy? id go to prob molise. england? some shithole area. i bet its no tourists there and u can just live and enjoy. sure. u dont get to see thigns in person, like rome, but desu, if u are "Seeing" it in lineups surrounded by foreigners like u just a buncha assholes taking snapshots, are u even seeing anything? and there is no worry of me ruining the ugly shitty cities by inundating them with tourists cause tourists cant get selfies in these places so theyre under no risk. Is there an upper class in Pakistan that is liberal and educated with liberated, promiscuous women - and could a traveler mingle within such a circle? Which places in Europe look unique instead of a slight variation of this? Anything more except the places frequented by the Austrian painter? What's the dealio when it comes to travelling with meds? Looking for answers from Australians, mostly, since I don't know what it's like with other countries. In Milan right now and it's full of jeets and there is nothing to do. Alright boys. Last check in before the trip. Any tips on not dying of heat stroke in the south? If you're going to theme parks like Disney or Universal, is it a virtual guarantee that you're going to be in some faggot's vlog or livestream as a background character?
Is it even worth going to these places in 2025? https://www.patrika.com/en/world-news/italy-to-offer-500000-work-visas-to-non-eu-citizens-19715183
>Italy has announced 500,000 work visas for non-European citizens between 2026 and 2028. This opens up significant job opportunities for Indians.
Anyone here going to try and take this opportunity to et a long term work visa in Italy? Why is this place so useless
>taking holiday to Japan
>get told it's not too hot yet august is the worst time
>hmm okay June is fine then
>over 30 degrees today and tomorrow
>over 30 degrees the entire month I took off for some nice time in Japan before it gets over run with summer holiday tourists
>already filled to the brim of yanks and other people who should stay home you know who you are australia
>don't even want to go take a swim in the beaches because it's too hot
>Cold drink in a pub only makes this worse(which is so expensive almost 8 quid)
>water tastes horrible here no flavor
>barely leaving the hostel due to it being so bad
What gives? Why is everyone on this board so stupid? Why is Japan so hot? I thought asians were smart why would they CHOOSE to live in a place that hot and moist. The Japan General either trolled me or it's filled with americans who've never traveled and larping. What's wrong with advice on this board? Does anyone here travel to Appalachia? I only travel to Appalachia. I like it there. Plus it doesn't require flying.
I'm trying to plan a summer trip - but its too hot for lower elevation places. My picks:

Why no-one talks about this? Anyone been to pacific island nations? Which ones were the best? Any interesting experiences? The Adam Curtis documentary is peak kino, documenting the fall of the Soviet Union and its impact on the people.
There's no dialogue of vlogger faggotry, it's just clips capturing pieces of life. (i believe the BBC uncovered shit loads of archive footage somehow).
I grew up thinking the east of europe was a mysterious and cool place (similar to Bald and Bankrupt I guess), and was lucky enoguh to spent a fair bit of my life there when I was younger.
The feelings of post-soviet/warsaw pact states hit weirdly. It's like a post apocalyptic game irl at times.
Anybody else got a weird love for the region?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke600MgW1F0 Is there any meaning behind a hotel claiming to be rated "three star" or "four star" or whatever? I'm at a supposed "four star" hotel in Buenos Aires and it's not nearly as nice as a "three star" place I stayed at in Thailand (and costs 2.5X as much). This place is more like the "two star" hotels I stayed at in Bangkok. The only advantage this "four star" place has over the "two star" ones is that it has a microwave and a little cooktop in case you want to heat something up in your room. I live in South Carolina and want to see the midwest. Should I spend three days in Kansas City or spend three days traveling around northern Michigan (stopping by Grand Rapids and maybe Traverse City)? Both seem interesting to me. My dream is to travel to French Guyana and see an indian village in the interior. Cayenne is just full of Haitians and frogs.
Is this possible if I'm not rich? I haven't worked in over two years. The job scene where I live is a beyond dead crater. I'm considering moving abroad to get me out a deep funk. But I haven't worked in so long that that combined with being in a foreign country seems daunting. Please advise Either tourists or backpackers abroad, or when you have visited the states. >being deployed from the UK for 3 years to Edwards AFB
>never been to the West coast before
>don't know which areas to avoid but know I don't want to be in LA
>have a budget of $4k a month for rent (and then another $3-4k for utilities, food and travel)
Thought I'd ask here and on Plebbit to try and get a general feel for areas to look at it. It would be me and my wife, early 30s and no kids. We're both coming from very green areas so will be difficult to adjust to the desert. Been looking at places in SW Lancaster and Bear Valley Springs. We're quiet people and keep to ourselves so would want to avoid anywhere that's either very progressive or very conservative. We don't care about politics, religion or social issues. Just want to explore the US during my tour as we love the Wild West themes, hiking in the national parks and exploring nature.
Would appreciate any advice There is a thing that exist called 4cc, a tournament for glory and banter between 4chan boards.
Basically, in late July/August trv, and 31 other boards are gonna compete in this sort of simulated soccer tournament against each other for glory and bragging rights
The players represent facets of each board's culture. Some of them even has cool and ridiculously 3d models
Pic related, is part of our team
Anyway, every once in a while we usually run a small poll to keep the roster team fresh https://forms.gle/o4rycB43wzJBzNPf7
What new players should we add? Who should be removed?
I'm weighing the pros and cons vs. just continuing to live at my parents' house. I'm also trying to decide where I should go, if I should.
I was thinking:
>A few months in Japan (Tokyo)
>A few months in Korea (Seoul)
>A few months in Taiwan?
>a week trip or so using pto, maybe in China
Outside of that, I'm not sure. Maybe some time in Bali just to sit by the beach. I could do Mexico or South America, or somewhere in Europe, but I dunno.
Here are my issues:
>Money
I will probably spend $3k a month minimum, versus like $1k in my parents' basement. That's a difference of $24k over a year. Not including flights, or a new laptop, or whatever it is that I'll need to do this. Is that really worth it? On the other hand, it's hard to get an experience like this.
>Time
Of course, I will have to work the entire time, and it will be in EST or roughly around those hours. That means my whole schedule will be off compared to local time. And of course I will be working, so I'm not sure how enjoyable it will actually be.
>Work
This is one of those "ask for forgiveness, not permission" type deals. I will have to put in some work to keep things discreet. That means a server running at home to VPN into, a neutral background for meetings, etc. I probably wouldn't get fired but there's definitely a risk.
If anons have done something similar, I'd appreciate some advice. Was it worth it? Is 1 year too long? Should I pick fewer destinations? Is shit really getting that bad over there?
It's been almost 6 years since I've gone to the continent but planning a 2 month trip this fall. Is it just the usual tourist mecas? Is there a quantum shift in Euro tourism? What is happening? Why do Spaniards hate my 140k a year income? Does anyone else feel full of energy after a big adventure or travel?
More passioniate to live? Recharged? Reborn ?
Any idea what it is that causes this after some travels?
The first time I felt this was after I rode a motorcycle all over the US for a month. I was 23 and it was like my first big solo trip
When I arrived back to my hometown, all the sudden I felt this great big joy , like i finally made it , the mission was a success
And i stood up on my bike and let out a big victory yell, and then the next 2 weeks I was full of life and energy and beleive it or not, i was even getting chicks.
I have gotten this lust for life after other trips, but not all. I am hoping to figure out what it is that brings the post adventure high Which is the most memorable memory of you after all these travels. I usually don’t fly business or first class, not because I can’t afford it but because I prefer to spend that money on comfortable hotels or nice meals instead.
Spending more on a plane ticket doesn’t guarantee safety either. Statistically, passengers seated in the front are more likely to be at risk in the event of a crash.
I’ve only flown business class once, and that was because my company paid for it. What are some very liquid skills that help you generate cash quickly on your journey?
Im planning on leaving my 3rd-world shithole for good Travelling to Europe next month /trv/. How do I prevent gypsies from stealing my shit? Hi anons,
I'm traveling to the US for the first time in a couple of months. I'll be arriving in Miami, staying for 2 days, then heading to Washington, D.C.
I'm from a small country where we only have the usuals like KFC, Burger King, McDonald's...
What fast food chains, diners, or local stuff should I absolutely not miss while I'm there?
I'd love to try food that feels "American" or unique to those cities.
Bonus points for greasy, unhealthy, iconic stuff. Thanks. where did you experience this incredible relief without getting on a plane?
