You contradicted yourself there. Can f2p players afford sigs and resos or not? Assuming you roll each new character on release.
I'll give you a headstart for your calculations and tell you that somewhere between 4 to 5 weapons worth of resources you can get over time as you finish main story, strongholds, recitativo, cursed waves etc. But do you include failed weapon rolls?

I do. And I'm consistently in Hero Squad because of it. I have to figure out niche things nobody mentions like Solacetune solo infinite loops or Pyroath ones. Because nobody mentions them.

Let's assume for the sake of argument that what you say is true. I can tell you from my own experience that 5 patches and maybe 1 worth by now are not enough to gear everyone with sigs and resos. That's around half a year of playtime under normal patches.
So I ask an expert like yourself: how many patches does it take to reach what you said assuming full f2p with no monthly passes or rolls of coatings or outdated frames? My approximation is at least 12 patches or more, so around a year. But I want to hear it from you.
