For good reason. Larian is a joke. It's the perfect example of a monkey's paw. You want something nice? Here it is, it's just fucked beyond saving (literally). Besides the sexual degenerates they've chosen to pander to, their inventory management systems and itemization solutions are fully fledged chores. They're never going to create an engine to suit a game. They're always going to slap a different name and skin on the engine they've been dumping resources into and they're always going to 1) drop what they're doing to follow the money and 2) invest almost all of their resources into the beginning of the game so the middle and end of the game are shit. Larian is propped up by the illusion of marketing. Once you peel back that layer, their schtick is fake and gay. They're the perfect example of a one-trick-pony. There's plenty to like about Larian's engine and it's good enough to charm the pants off normies (the entire marketing strategy here), yet I'm never going to touch another one of their games until they address their aforementioned, debilitating issues.
