Thats the thing. The P3R thing was something that ATLUS did to their own version unlike P4.
Like how are you going the messages of P4 basically being "you are not gay for being into feminine hobbies" or "you dont have to do something drastic like transition when facing gender identity issues" without major rewrites?
The P3R thing already shows they are afraid to upset the same people that are already offended by the P3 thing.
I am not afraid of characters like Chie, Kou, etc. I am afraid of the characters that have specifically dealing with the issues those trannies care about.
Yosuke as mentioned already has a gay social link in its files and that content is probably the most notorious cut content the game has.
