No.
Buffs in SaGa vary in usefulness depending on the entry, there's no sustained Luster Candy spam and Dekunda thresholds like in SMT, SaGa buffs tend to be more about specific effects rather than bruteforcing through raw stats, think creating magic swords, shadow clones that repeat all of your action but die if they're hit etc.
Weaknesses are important but again, it's a lot more nuanced than SMT since the attribute system is just designed better and the games do not double down on rewards with things like Press turn/Smirk but rather make you properly
weigh your options so in many cases you'd want to forego hitting weaknesses for other strategies.
