FoRes has the best companions by far; a bit less than FO1 even, but all of them with really developed personalities, personal quests and comments/opinions on almost everything you do:
>Mutt (neutral) - trusty doggo
>Keri (neutral) - crimson caravan guard and trader from FO1; mid combat mid skill monkey
>Lystra (good) - goody two-shoes, a bit naive and a bit insufferable; mid combat, medic spec
>Gabriel (evil) - hitman, hired gun, no morals, no mercy; ultra combat spec, best taunts, best of the bunch
and two "hidden ones":
>Drools (low int & high luck) - a fucking floater mutant; tanky, gross, silly and monstrous melee, npcs reacting to it is hilarious
>SentryBot (high repair, high science) - a murderbot that big guns the shit of everthing; just stand behind him, shame you only get him in the end location
It's interesting they also had a plan for a child companion, but argued against adding him bcs child soldiers bad etc.
