I am discussing whether or not people like a certain mechanic. Someone saying "I like it" is actually an extremely strong argument for people liking it.

Yes, again, they CAN say that, why are you assuming that is always the case ? They could also secretly think it's the best thing ever. I'm not going to say "actually everyone thinks RNG to hit is the best thing ever. I know because no matter what they say that's what they could be thinking!".

People don't like losing games either, but that doesn't mean no one likes games where losing is an option. No one likes getting hit by enemies, that does not mean no likes games where enemies can hit you. Your entire line of logic is fundamentally flawed, because you're basing it off of one singular aspect of RNG. You know what people love? Getting crits or hitting against all odds. That doesn't mean everyone actually loves RNG and anyone who doesn't is statistically insignificant.
