Maybe. I admit I'm not a psychologist by any means. I don't intend to preach psychology actually, though I end up sounding similar. I actually dislike the practice of modern psychology.

Yes correct, but we're speaking of empathy because that's the thread's focus. And I am absolutely certain between emotions and empathy, empathy makes people the most vulnerable. Yes emotional provocation does it too, empathy does it most.

Nah, I use the circuit analogy for something less to do with brain matters more to do with imagery to point at going from feeling alive and connected one minute, then living dead and numb the next. Or maybe not in one minute, a slow boil over a tumultuous upbringing as an example.

Personally I doubt the studies, if they are to be believed, what ends up happening is the distinction between the psychopath and the sociopath in pop-psych. They'll say the ASPD who was born that way = psychopath. Where as sociopaths get made. I personally don't believe psychopaths to exist, at least not how pop-psych tells it.

Sociopaths as you already pointed out respond to anger. So does anyone. But we know ASPDs are very quick in their response. I use the word 'offense' to touch on that. They often choose offensive measures to respond to anger. This is seen commonly in the precursor disorder OSDD (oppositional defiant disorder)

It's cuz they don't like going to the shrink. I don't blame them. But yes I swear to you, I know personally an example of one who was diagnosed but treated it himself through extreme measures and in my view is no longer sociopathic in the least.
