Could she? In this age of information, it’s tempting to say yes. But I don’t think so. We are fragile creatures, moving forward with what little we’re given, bound by our nature. Life is a turning wheel, a baby gazelle is born, learns to run, brings new life, and is killed by the lion. Its child grows, runs, gives birth, and is taken by the hyena. The cycle turns, death and rebirth, loss and renewal, over and over again. Be content you had your mother to watch you grow, many baby gazelles don't.

You are sad, and it makes sense. This is how your mind is trying to cope. You can’t control that your mother is dying, that cancer is taking her, that no amount of wanting or fighting will change the outcome. So your subconscious does the only thing it can—it tells you that you’d rather have her gone already. Not because you truly want that, but because waiting, watching, feeling powerless is unbearable.

Pain avoided is pain carried. It’s better to face it now, to feel it fully, because what is faced does not turn into something heavier later. It simply becomes part of you, something you can live with, instead of something that haunts you. Break the wheel of destiny, tell your mother that you love her, and hold her dearly, so she has no regrets when she leaves you.
