We don’t have AI. That doesn't exist. We don't even have specialised AI let alone AGI. What we have is GPT. A GPT model can not reason or understand. It doesn't even know what it's saying let alone what you said. It's just a chatbot. The point of a chatbot is to create an illusion of understanding where there is none. They've existed since Xerox made the first one in 1963, but the one most people who have experienced happened in 1978 and was called Fred. I used to play with it, was fun. You could hold a conversation with it and it took up a whole 768kb.

It's just software retard. It's doing the chinese box problem. It isn't coming for your job unless your job wasn't a real job to begin with. Cashiers for example were replaced with touch screens because pushing buttons a customer tells you to push isn't a real job. No GPT required. Just let the customer push their own buttons. The whole purpose of cashiers was to give teenagers an entrance into the job market, but it was ruined by single mums trying to use that as their adult job and complaining it wasn't a living wage.

Coding isn't going to be taken over by GPT. It may be made more efficient so fewer people are needed to complete a project, but that will eventually scale into more projects.

No one is losing their job to GPT. You'll have to come up with another excuse why you're a lazy, worthless neet.
