MENSA do cheap ones. I got mine measured and it's pretty high. I remember getting filtered by logarithms back in high school. Don't sweat it anon. You develop the intelligence you choose to specialise in.
Best way to go is probably get some good tutoring and do plenty of practice. Tutoring is gold.
You can also be careful with where you choose to do your college classes. At my university I avoid taking any class that has exams, and stick to 100% coursework assessment. Hasn't failed me thus far. Although that's annoying in its own way.
