The recent trend of claiming that humans didn't wipe out certain megafauna is an attempt to "protect" the ancient legacy of non-white people since only white people are allowed to be
historical animal extinction causers. Also, everything bad needs to be magically linked to climate change to promote modern activist fads. Yes, Ice ages and desertification did cause extinctions and so did pre-farming humans.
