Pseuds and trannies will never grasp this. Archaeopteryx is not only a fully formed feathered animal, it's also the oldest. The only competition is ONE (1) chinese species that may be 1-2 million years older and is almost certainly fake as all chinese fossils are.

The image actually needs to be updated. Psittacosaurus, Kulindadromeus and Tianyulong are all associated with plant fibers mistaken for animal "filaments". The Psittacosaur & Tianyulong are actually from the same Jehol Group and the plant species associated with them may be the same plant. Kulindromeus is particularly telling since the "feathers" associated with it bear absolutely no resemblance to any structure ever found in animals, but they DO look like structures found in plants.
