In my town, we have two bins for the trashmen: the recycling bin and the non-recycling bin. It was pretty easy: food goes to the non-recycling, and everything else goes to recycling.
But the mayor decided to ban us from putting glass in the recycling bin. He installed some huge "recyling boxes" for glass only through the town. So now we have to make some of the trashmen's job.
And do you think that leads to less taxes? Of course not! And we can now receive a fine if the trash inspector (!) finds glass in the recycling bin.
So I decided to become a municipal terrorist: when I have enough live ticks in a jar (~30), being a good citizen I bring it to the new mandatory glass bins. To be extra sure, I open the jar before throwing it.
This is the hill I want them to die on.

I've made two attempts in the past, it's been surprisingly difficult to have the ticks nicely spread all through the ball.

We don't understand some of their grooming habits. They're well know for self-anointing with their foam (we're still unsure why), but they also regularly anoint their spikes with feces.
