In my study of the poorfags and their poorfag ways, I have identified one differentiating factor. If you ask them to tell you a story about their lives, it follows this formula:
>First, X happened to me.
>Then Y happened to me.
>Finally, Z happened to me.
Their whole life is basically just a series of accidents that they had no agency in. Their "locus of control" exists outside of themselves.
If you want an example of what this looks like, go on Youtube and look for convicts reacting to their sentencing at trial. They jump up, scream, cry, breakdown, faint, beg for clemency, etc. "Please don't do this to me!" As if they themselves had nothing to do with the reason they're on trial to begin with!

Conversely, when rich people talk about their lives, they are constantly in the driver's seat, almost to the point of delusion. You'd think they picked the exact time and place of their own births.

They have an "internal locus of control." They don't view their problems as something that is happening to them that they have no control over. Rather, they view them as things that they can easily solve.
