i had success with volleyball, but I have a background in it and my city (denver) will literally have 15+ nets up in the park to play at. I also wish I didn't let my 10 year background in percussion go idle, because music is a decent avenue too.

I also succeeded in making my own tabletop games group. the advantages are many. you'll be in a natural leadership/organizational role, while also making sure a gay man or woman is NOT in that seat. gays and women really dominate a lot of social circles and it's awful when they do, in my experience

Really anything that you have a background in (or can get up to speed/learn in) that is coed will do. Make the group yourself if you have to. be the initiator and build what you wish was around you. gonna need some $, so hopefully you didn't get demoralized out of education or at least hustling.

I've also been an expat early in my career and passport bro'd later in it, as they call it these days. I'm not gonna act like the struggle isn't real, but there's stuff to try if you're an otherwise put together guy.
