If you've been gone since 2017 you won't understand crypto. I don't get it at all. /biz/ itself is unhelpful and any real projects- like the google funded payment token that was posted here a month ago- get deleted as 'spam' until they pop off 30x in 3 weeks and then suddenly it gets left alone. /biz/ is a totally dead board full of bagholders, people trying to make money on pokemon cards and people who bought shiny rocks who are happy their shiny rocks are up.

We used to have a stocks thread but most of them moved to /bant/ along with the commodities thread.

You forgot the phrase dyor? My answer to you is that memecoins are garbage, scams, but if you somehow catch one early all the /biz/lets and redditors will flood into Asspikachu coin and pump it from 5000 mcap to 5,000,000 and make you rich only if you sell high.

It's literally a casino. Most of the stuff in the top 100- real projects mostly, and then a few shitcoins like doge- is too high marketcap to ever pump seriously. The raw gemeralds are too rare and hard to come by.

The biggest problem with crypto is that it was born in a bubble of 0% interest rates and interest rates are at 4% right now so crypto is eating shit and the market is slow growth. 2028 will be a much better bullrun because rates will have to come down after the recession.
