That's not what happened, trillions in spending during Covid finally caught up after 12-18 months in 2022. Lower interest rates were the norm through the 2000s and 2010s and inflation didn't peak until rates were higher than they've been in decades, before slowly lowering again. They would have lowred faster if the Biden Admin balanced the budget and didn't spend over a trillion on some infracture bill which did seeimgly nothing for our infrastructure ironically enough. In ay case I plan on buying a house in two years and having lower rates and prices would really help out there.
