The original ishkabibbles was right next door to Geno's, where the owners, a Romaniote and Italki Jewish couple (IE Greek and Italian rite Judaism, respectively) invented the chicken cheesesteak because Italki Judaism allows for mixing dairy with poultry and that area was, ouat, the Italian-Jewish, Greek-Jewish and Iberian-Jewish part of town. It was the first Jewish community in America.
There's an old cemetery there with headstones reading shit like Shlomo Sanchez, Moshe Demetriou and Avram Di Rieti.
