Pecans used to be so inexpensive that people with pecan trees in their yards didn't even bother picking them up. They'd buy a big bag from the grocery store for next to nothing if they wanted pecans. Then the Chinese got a taste for them so the price of pecans skyrocketed. Those pecans that weren't worth picking up were now a source of bum fights as hobos collect them from people's yards to sell.
If China stops importing food from the US, price of food from the US in the US will decline. The US exports far more food than it imports. If the US kept its own food instead of selling much of it on the world market, prices would go down.
There's no owning the libs or the rightwingers. There's simple math and the US being a net exporter.
