Anon, when I was looking to purchase my first slow cooker, I was shopping around and reading reviews. Despite never slow cooking before, it took me only 0.001 seconds to learn that bad cuts of meat + stock + 8 hours low = good meat. I read a review of one slow cooker that was bitching and whining about how shit the slow cooker was. His complaint was "cooked for three hours and nothing was done. over $100 of good meat down the drain. fucking worthless product". Evidentially, he was retarded and didn't realize it.

Point is, common knowledge isn't common, common sense isn't common, and at least 1/3rd of any given population is fundamentally retarded.
