Not at Superstore, that's for sure. I mean all our grocery chains are overpriced, but Superstore and Sobeys are among the worst. Freshco and No Frills are generally more affordable.

Also quit buying processed slop. Like, what is this crap you're eating? Frozen pizzas and potato chips, really? Buy in-season produce, and meat that's on special and make some proper fucking food. There's always a discount going on something that they have overstock of or whatever. Like about a month ago, my Freshco had chicken thighs on for $6/pack, I stocked my freezer with like 10 packs. Or last week, they had big pork loins for $4/kg, I got 4 kilos of meat for less than $20. I bought a pack of chicken breasts today for $5. Buy a bag of potatoes and whatever other vegetables are affordable, buy a big bag of rice or beans, and you should have no problem putting together meals.

Food here IS expensive, you're right. But you're not doing yourself any favours by buying crap like this. Cut takeout and delivery from your diet altogether. Buy whole foods. Shop sales, buy shelf staple pantry items in bulk, use your freezer, make batch food that goes a long way like soups. It's tough out there, but you can make it easier for yourself by shopping and cooking smartly.
