Larger the area, the more it will be out.
A line across 50 feet will be out by quite a bit on the far left and right unless you do it manually on each end instead of trying to tweak the bubble on the level by a micron one way or the other.
It’s real use is a substitute for a chalk line.
I had few laser levels now, laser has burned out on one of them already. Batteries leaked in the other.
Haven’t used them in quite a while… switched back to chalk lines, and my father gave me one of his, which is like 40 or 50 years old now… works great. Cheap. Filled with different colored chalk, red permanent, blue is erasable/comes off easily for painted walls.
As far as I’m concerned laser levels Are a gimmick for most things unless you’ve a surveyor or something.
