I buy (non power) harbor freight tools for work, although I am paid hourly W2 and not per job. however, I have never had an issue with HF tools. The only thing I've broken is extractors, and those were Icon so HF will replace them. I work on fairly heavy equipment as well, so I'm not babying them.

I have heard that they used to be cheap garbage but in my experience they are just cheap now. Its sort of like realizing that you can get excellent wine blends for $10 a bottle and the only downside is being looked down on by wine snobs.
