The guy who founded that company is a veteran, so military gear probably influenced his craftsmanship quite a bit, yet I don't see how that is any practical detriment to the product. If anything you know it's going to last a lifetime or more and if it breaks or falls apart, then you can send it back and you'll work with actual humans who will resurrect it for you. Buy it for life is a thing that needs to come back. Their work pants and work vests are awesome and they have numerous, novel attachments to give you a little efficiency boost at work.
