LOL, its not even so much the cost savings if there even is any, which I doubt. Its supposed to be "green" and it "locks up carbon". Its still got to have mostly metal or other frame and exterior, mostly lots of glass in aluminum frame.

I don't see it spanning more than can be done with gangnail flat wooden trusses, maybe with plywood shear, and that will be basically water proof and nice to run DUCTS not just pipes and wires, in any direction. Truss adds some height but so what. you can field replicate an engineered gang-nail 2x4 truss with lumber, nails and plywood sheer.

and the "gee wiz, it went up so fast" (but probably 3x as long to trim out, and or all that nice exposed interior wood has conduit/plumbing all over it like a submarine.
