cardio and bodyweight fitness is going to be the most important just like any military. focus on being able to do lots of push ups, sit ups, pull ups, and be able to march for 10s of miles (16+km) a day. if you can't swim, then start learning. don't worry too much about learning French, the legion will teach you by complete immersion, but be ready that expectations are high and punishment will be harsher the longer training goes. showing that you already having some understanding of the language will just make those expectations higher sooner. also what >>75734134 said: don't go to paris, go to a recruiting office out in the country
