Most Jews have no relation to the native peoples of ancient Jerusalem, and, even if they did, anyone can become a Jew at any given moment. You just have to “ritually convert,” but you can’t ritually convert to an ethnicity. I can’t convert into a native African. You can’t “convert” into a Hebrew.

Jews only consider people with Jewish moms to be Jewish, which makes no fucking sense genetically. Somebody who is 99% Ashekenazi with an unbroken chain across of Jewish dads, and they would not be considered Jewish cuz their mom is Polish. That’s not how ethnicity works. That’s a religion.

The native peoples of Palestine have more genetic ancestry in common with Judeans of the second century than most modern Jews do, but Jews don’t consider Palestinians to be “Hebrews” because most of them converted to Islam. But you can’t convert out of a fucking ethnicity, so it doesn’t matter that they’re Muslim, they’re still ethnically Hebrew. They just switched religions over the last 2,000 years they’ve resided in the land (like 99% of Temple Judaism-practicing family lines did after the Temple’s destruction).

So the Jews are fucking LARPers, and anyone pedaling this “ethno-religion” bullshit is unironically spewing Jewish religious “history” unknowingly. Judaism is just a religion. Jews pedaling their super-special “ethnoreligion” bullshit is no more valid than some mud-hut savage in Africa telling you their dancing makes the rain fall.
