The Ottomans were brutes who wouldn't survive a decade without their "tolerance" of the people already living there both economically and administratively. Also, keep in mind your grandfather was Armenian and your grandmother was a Bosnian, before you praise your masters again.

I know sly Turks like you want to relativise ethnic history but your situation is not comparable. They were the original peoples of these places. They built them. Even the ancient Anatolians are more closely related to Greeks and Armenians to whatever you're trying to larp as. Your tourist sector depends on what the Armenians, Greeks, and other peoples left behind, because you left nothing behind yourself except putting meat on a stick and calling it culture, or hiring Albanians to make copies of Byzantine churches.
