Here are the numbers according to the official narrative:
Auschwitz - around 1 million
Operation Reinhard camps - 2+ million (1.7 million until the end of 1942)
Einsatzgruppen operations - 1-1.5 million

That's already around 4.5 million. The rest died in ghettos, from starvation, typhus, war privation, forced labor and so on. They're obviously still counted as victims of the holocaust.
The actual number is not known, but generally it's believed that 5-6 million people died which was 2/3 of European Jews.
