Yes, telling of the discrimination they suffered and fact that they were seen as lesser. Only by this stage, there was already an existant gap between the descendants of indentured servants in the Carribbean (white Irish) and the descendants of African slaves-who were still slaves, and who now had Irish masters.

The Irish often got it worse than some other white European immigrants, because a huge numer of them were mongolot Irish speakers with zero skills-since they, their parents, and their grandparents, had all scratched out a shitty existence on a tiny and inefficient farm. They were also all mostly Catholic.

So when you have all these unskilled Catholic illiterate people washing up on your shores in droves at a time of great transformation of American society, paired with the fact that a large group of these people are leading regular raids/attacks, combined with the actions of the San Patricios in the Mexican-American War, it isn't difficult to see why they were often hated.

But I would ask you to produce something that conflates being Irish with being something other than white, because the examples of that happening are extremely few and far between.
