Yeah, but 95%+ of their ancestors are peasants. If you are 25 and a generation is 25 years, you had 2 parents in 2000, 4 grandparents in 1975, 32 great great great grandparents in 1900, 512 ancestors in 1800, 2^13 or 8192 in 1700 and up to 2^49 in the time of Charlemagne. So it is irrelevant, unless you are a low IQ brainlet you should be able to understand this.

Primae Noctis is another meme about the medieval era, nobles weren't impregnating every peasant. Most children successfully raised to adulthood were born to gruff peasant women with the support of a dedicated husband, most of the population lived like this and it was necessary to perpetuation. Rarely did a woman end up a concubine and receive special dispensation from a noble to raise the bastard, and these resources were drawn from the peasants, who in turn needed to reproduce and maintain the supply of farm laborers. Medieval society was a small elite floating on top of the commoners.
