Like the artist in the tweet admits, it is lazy. Not to mention that many artists use it as a crutch. Honestly, I don't understand the reason for using it.
What's the point of learning how to draw and coming so far if you're just going to end up tracing soulless 3d models?
I want to see what you, the artist, are capable of creating. Give me an insight into how you view and understand life and art by translating it onto a canvas. I don't want to see a glorified and dead drawing of a 3d base.

I hate this culture that encourages and embraces cutting corners to this degree. Do you not feel shame? Why not allow yourself to learn? Why not allow yourself to be flawed?
Even if you can draw without using 3d, why not allow yourself to take longer for your art? Is art not important to you? Is art just a product for you? Is engagement and efficiency all that matters to modern artists?
Do you think so little of what you're capable of? Where's your patience? Where's your pride? Where's your ambition?

As a viewer of such art, I feel like I'm being spat in the face. "Here's your daily slop, open wide!" It's repulsive and pathetic.
