Tezuka and Ishinomori were not forced to work 18 hours a day. Why are you conflating "this thing happened" with "they were forced to do this". Tezuka was his own boss, why would you think anybody could or would force the guy to work himself into an early grave?
Also you're ignoring the fact that Tezuka died of STOMACH CANCER. Drawing manga doesn't give you fucking stomach cancer.

Both those examples you used were rich guys, because they worked so hard despite their works selling more than well enough to not require it.

You can post it if you want, but you're still only talking about weekly magazines and not the manga industry.

Manga isn't fast food you dingus, they chose to do the job and moreover they chose to work in the specific magazines with weekly deadlines. You don't weep for the poor off-shore fishermen in alaska, because they chose to work a dangerous job because the danger is rewarded. The key word being "chose". We are not talking about destitute people in a third world country with no other option. And we are not talking about the western comic industry with little in the way of options for authors. There are lots of publications to publish with, but you're focusing only on the minority that are tough to work in.
